This location was great. The service was top notch. There was a hiccup in my truck rental: the person who had the truck returned it late so I intern received it later but they took care of me for the inconvenience. All in all, great place.

Total bait and switch. I called and reserved a truck for Saturday. Told them I’d pick up at 5 but I was a bit later than planned (6:30pm). Thought as long as I was there by 8pm it would be ok. They called at am looking for the truck as it was due back at 6:45 am. I told the man I reserved it for 24 hours and there must be some kind of mistake. He told me I was not honoring the terms of commitment and I would be charged a late fee if I did not return the vehicle immediately. I was using that truck for a charitable event and could not break away to return it and caused me great grief the entire day as I knew I reserved it for 24 hours. The man on the phone who I believe was the manager Jeremy was rude and obnoxious. I feel like they were trying to do a bait and switch so they could rent the truck out again that same day. I paid for 24 hours and that’s what my intention was. The man who checked me back in was the same one who checked me out and did not charge me a late fee. He said he fixed the time in the computer so I felt vindicated although I told him I was shaken up the entire day. He was very nice and apologized.

They charge me 250 miles from Covina to Pico Rivera. Now i have to go to the store to dispute the over charge.



Better review could have been given if the attendant had addressed us before examining what appeared to be a personal truck it was my impression he was examining to purchase.

There was nothing wrong with this location or the manager who took care us however, what we purchased was misleading. We intended to only pay one way for mileage but ended having to bring the U-Haul back to its original location , pay extra mileage, and also pay for gas to fill it up. This ended up costing us a lot more than we anticipated. I feel that this should be more explicitly explained upon making the online reservation. I also called customer service to confirm my reservation and asked about the process and she mentioned we would be able to drop off the truck at a nearby location versus bringing it back to the original location. Moving is one of the most stressful things a couple has to undergo so you can imagine how much additional stress and financial hardship this has caused. Customer service should be better trained in giving the customer correct information.

If Uhaul goes online without any employees to help me get my renting vehicle needs, I would want to take the business somewhere else. As a customer, I would prefer to talk to someone rather than pushing buttons and not having a witness to the vehicle.



Went to rent a trailer. Walked in and was greeted by the two working. Very helpful and nice. Quick to handle the process and get the trailer hooked up and off I went. Great experience.
