I had a very poor experience at this U-Haul location and would strongly recommend choosing a different nearby location. The checkout counter was uninviting and located inside a dingy shop. Communication was difficult due to a noticeable language barrier, which made the process less clear than it should have been. After my credit card was swiped and I was charged, I was instructed to pull around to the back of the building, where there was a loose dog in a neighboring yard—an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe situation. Once parked, I waited approximately 30 minutes with no explanation. During that time, another customer who arrived after me was assisted, and it became clear they were being checked out while I waited. Eventually, I had to move my vehicle that was being hooked up to a tow dolly so the other customer could exit with the van truck they rented. I received no assistance or instruction on loading my vehicle onto the tow dolly. Thankfully, I had watched a U-Haul-sponsored YouTube video beforehand, which is the only reason I knew how to properly secure the car. While I do appreciate that the staff knew how to connect the dolly to the truck hitch, that was the only positive aspect of the experience. Considering I was towing a vehicle from Dallas to Denver, the lack of organization, customer service, and basic assistance was disappointing. I would not return to this location and recommend using a different U-Haul facility nearby.

The website was down when we came in for pick up. The attendant (a store clerk) seemed surprised we were renting a trailer. The trailer was attached but once we got going it was jerky and shaking much more than trailers we have had in the past. We blew a tire about 30 miles away from our destination and it shredded and disintegrated. This caused the furniture we were hauling to bounce around and the cream colored leather was BLACK from the dirt inside the trailer. We were able to clean it off but the fact that the trailer had not been wiped down was extremely dissapointing.
Tamara CI reserved a 15ft truck and an appliance dolly at 2333 Hardwick St. to be picked up at 8:30am on Saturday December 6. When completing the paperwork at that time I was advised that the location did not have any dollies and that I would have to go to the location at 2240 Irving Blvd. to pick up the dolly that I reserved. Once at the Irving location I was able to get that appliance dolly and continue with my move, while putting miles on the truck that was an unexpected trip, added time to my rental and uncalculated expense. Once I was completed with my move, I once again had to return the appliance dolly to the Irving location before returning the truck itself back to the Hardwick location. When the rental was returned and I received my invoice I was charged for the added milage that was due to having to return equipment to one location and the truck to another. When I set up the rental it was not to pick the truck up at one location and equipment at another and be charged for the extra milage. It would be appreciate to be refunded for the milage that I had to put on the truck and inconvenience due to the renting agency not ensuring that the equipment that I reserved was available at the original location.

ETTA KFill the windshield washer fluid. Fix the van top so that the back doors open and close like they should. At least wash the van once in awhile. This one hadn't been washed in 6 weeks!
