We had a lot of trouble with the u-haul website. The owner of the business showed up 45 minutes late without a care in the world. It took him another 30 to start up his computer, open up the shop and figure out what we were even talking about. He had as much knowledge on U-Haul as we did. This is why I called U-Haul and specifically asked to pick up a truck from the store and not some random location.

Have a better system when uhauls don’t start. Have the customer actually see the sales receipt and all the rules that they will be charged for. Have a worker present when you drop off keys and explain to you the receipt. I am very unhappy and have been unconveinenced very bad. I need to speak with someone that can actually help me.

The customer representative didn’t know what she was doing I had to hookup the Auto Transport myself and I used to work for a Uhaul and to my knowledge I was not supposed to have done that as the customer. I needed to pick up a car more than and hour away and couldn’t do it because when I got there I noticed that the Auto Transport was ripped and had to drive back and still paid the rental

Our whole experience was TERRIBLE! From the location where no woman (or man)should ever be on that side of town alone. To the fact that the agent in charge took FOREVER on the computer ( hummmm...could it have been her nails that got in the way ? ) Also, while I waited no A.C., no chair to sit...just a complete HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Oh, and before I forget the vehicle was NOT clean and a rag was used to push the dirt around in front of me. HERE’S THE LAST BIT OF THIS DISASTEROUS EXPERIENCE...EVERYTIME THE TRUCK WAS STOPPED THE BATTERY HAD TO BE JUMPED!!! I WILL NEVER EVER USE U-HAUL OR RECOMMEND THEM.

The location was worse than the pick up location. It felt like the ghetto. I was afraid to wait for them to open so I dropped the key and ran. The nearest gas station had 5 beggars hanging out, two of which approached me. I felt very threatened.

It's kind of run down. There was no help hooking the trailer up to the vehicle and there was no walk around inspection of the trailer or lights by the UHaul rep before I left.

WE WERE TO BE REFUNDED OUR DEPOSIT AND THE LADY SAID SHE DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO DO IT. AFTER 2 40 MILES TRIPS WE STILL DONT HAVE OUR REFUND. COST MORE IN GAS TO TRY AND GET OUR MONEY BACK THAN THE REFUND. SO MAD!!

Melanie Lynch was eating chips and continued to eat chips when we walked in. She was helping two parties at the same time, ineffectively. She did not ask to verify our car insurance. She did not explain and fees or walk us through any process. She checked boxes on a form and told us to sign it. That form, apparently, cost us more money because it stated we requested extra protection. I have never requested extra protection on a rental vehicle, as I am a safe driver with great insurance coverages and I am cognizant of the laws and policies. She failed to do a walk-around to ensure the vehicle had zero damages. When I requested a lower charge, Melanie stated she covered everything and I signed he form. Very poor social skills. In fact, upon the return of the truck, Melanie had poor comments about the way my name was spelled because she could not say it correctly. I would like to be contacted about this experience. Nobody was at the shop at my rental time of 10:00am. A very nice gentleman arrived at 10:30, but someone should have been there on time. I had to take off work to do this, and had friends helping me, and had other people waiting for me to arrive. This was extremely frustrating and I am quite lucky I was able to complete my project today as planned.

The issue was not necesssrily with the location but U Haul traffic. I reserved a specific location. UHaul changed the reservation to a location on the south side of Dallas (I was on the north side). There was a closer location to where I was located but was not given an option of a second location - just assigned to a location that was across town and opened 1 hour later Han I planned to pick up the equipment. Very, very disappointed in U Haul reservation system. People at the location were very nice.

We reserved a U-Haul in advance at a convenient location and a utility dolly and a furniture dolly. We had to drive to a different location to get the truck and no furniture dolly was there so instead the gave us a appliance dolly but the wheel fell off. However the truck ran fine.
