This was a drop off and even though I had refueled it back to where I had received it, was charged an additional fee to refuel.

The van was well maintained but smelled of animal, probably dog, and there was animal hair, probably dog, in the cab and in the back. The agent was quite impatient with the customers before me, yelling at them in a way that made the waiting customers uncomfortable. But he was very polite, prompt and competent with me, and the entire pick up, drop off, reservation and billing was painless.

This place lacks customer service. It does not have the personnel to handle U-haul customers, they are busy handling their own repair shop customers. Very poor and no customer service at all. i will not deal with this place again. I made my reservations at U-Haul on Bayshore & Paul Ave in SF but was routed to pick up truck from this place. Waited over one hour to get the truck out, impacted my move for one hour too. It also added at least 20 miles total from where I live, so i exceeded my total miles limit, had to pay extra... Is U-Haul making customer go pick up trucks farther from their homes to make extra money on mileage?

The truck was a piece of shit. It kept jumping and stalling and was awful to drive. They gave it to us with a quarter of a tank of gas. Seriously? The guy at the front desk wasn't friendly. Overpriced and a piece of shit for a truck. Lucky I wasn't actually moving that day.

The guy at the counter is horrible. His name is Andrew Lee. I walk in and tell him I need to rent a 15 footer. There is no "Hi", or "How can I help you". I have to initiate the dialogue. He says, "Let me have your reservation". I tell him, I don't have one. He says, he doesn't have any available. I look outside and there are 3 parked. Then he says, he has one available. Why not say to the customer, "Let me check first". Horrible customer service interaction. Then I give him my credit card and Driver's license. He tells me to drop it off before 2:30pm or it will have to wait until 5pm. If I don't get it back by 5pm, then he will charge me extra day. Well, I go to the truck myself. He doesn't walk me over to do the inspection. I call him to get his ass outside to see the damage already there. He gives me BS. He says, if you are going to point out every little scratch, then I won't leave the lot. I ask him, "Are you picky". He says, "I'm not picky". Well, then why do so many customers complain about being ripped off by this establishment. He tells me, "Take a picture if you want". I did just that!!! I do my move in about 3 hours. I get back, like 1:30pm. The door is locked and he is eating with his family in the lobby. He sends his wife, or girlfriend to tell me, he is on lunch and just leave the key in the drop box. I am like, WHAT!!!! This fool thinks I am going to walk away and get blamed for some damage I didn't do, that he is going to charge against me. I tell her, we'll wait for his lazy ass. He comes out, and says, "What's the problem". I tell him, I want him to do the walk-thru with me. He says, "Is there any new damage", and I tell him, "No". He says, "Leave the keys in the drop box and go". What an asshole!!! I get home and get my receipt via email. I did not get charged any extra for damage or fuel. I was surprised!! I thought this fool was going to rip me off. I was ready to take this business to court and put them out of business for good. Terrible interaction with this Andrew Lee. He is probably the owner. Cantonese guy. He thinks he is something big! He is just a grease monkey, who probably wants to go kill himself because he has a crappy life as a mechanic. Probably a bad mechanic too. Unfortunately, in this area, this is the only local business that has moving trucks for rent. Otherwise, I have to go further, and it's probably more of the same as this business. I took a chance, ready to retaliate if cheated, and he did not cheat me. Just really bad interaction and customer service!!!!

I wish I would have checked the reviews before coming here. You have to wait a while to get your rental here. The gut at the front is not nice at all. Very rude. He asked if I was dropping off there or at let a different location. I said I'd be interested in dropping off at another location. He then proceeded the most say "well you can't do that". Why even ask me then. After them he proceeds to tell me the drop off was in 2.5 hours even though u-haul gives you 4 hours. I asked him to extend my time since we were just getting the van. He said that's the time I have til. When I said they were closing so no one would need the truck later, so what would be the issue? He responded with attitude, saying "you don't know own that. I'm here til 5pm". This guy is very confusing. Tried to trick you. Then when I said I would need more time and asked what would be the charge, he said he'd charge me more. So in essence I had to call the uhaul 1-800 directly to get my 4 hours. Lastly, they do not tell you that they will charge you if you leave your car parked in their lot. If you don't read the small sign behind the desk, you'd never know. I find this to be terrible with customer service and a canniving way of getting money out of folks. I will never ever rent from this place again and do not recommend going here to get a uhaul.

Be honest. I was charged for cleaning the truck! I took pictures of the truck before and after. It was dusty when I took it. I even have a picture where I removed the dust to show a ding not marked. So, that is not fair.

this location charge me two times for the rental I had for one day , I had to call the main office and they gave me a refund for the over charge .

This facility is ran and maintained out of a mechanics shop, the area is small for the size trucks that are rented and parking is limited. The personnel however was very helpful and had my vehicle ready to go when I arrived.

Very rude customer service in Brake Plus. I know it's only the two of them working but for first time U-haul users, they could have been more accommodating. They treat it as just another transaction, everything the guy says seems memorized. So no, I don't plan on ever going back to this location. Customer service was disappointing and rude AF.

I'd write nice review if not two outrages charges: 1. I put back as much gas as they asked me and they still charged me $5.95 for some missing gas 2. I returned the truck perfectly clean and still charged me $25 for cleaning I'll never use this place again.

The man that served me was very busy. I think he could use some help so the wait to pick up and return vehicles would be shorter and more efficient. No parking really available to leave private vehicles when renting a truck for the day.



Better customer service and put a voicemail on your phone so that if certain situation arise the customer can leave a msg.

when we arrived to return our truck, it was their designated lunch hour. we had to wait 10 minutes after the posted lunch hour for personnel to arrive--no apologies. as we could not be sure that they would receive the truck we were forced to wait.
