Again nothing bad to note about the return location. However,I will most likely not use U-Haul for any type of rentals in the future. I really felt like the charges that I would be liable for were not made clear in the process. 5 stars for the team member on duty. The only detractor to this location is that space is extremely limited. Very little to park. Although the truck was clean from a sweeping standpoint, the cab had a very strong cigarette odor.

You should be able to show customers how much gas was actually left in the truck, before you refill it. Especially if the customer states they refilled the truck to the amount that was originally in the truck. And the amount that is charged to put gas in the truck is outrageous!!

Online Check in Process is WAY too cumbersome. It took over 45 minutes for us to get our van and that was after we reserved it over the telephone. It was ridiculous. Finally, the sweet clerk, named Monica, helped us and got our van for us. The employees are wonderful, the process awful.

For goodness sakes, it's 2017. Please have a coherent back up computer system and/or standardized plan B manual paper trail. At both sites, employees were totally clueless about any standard operating procedure for computer down time. REALLY!!

Self Dispatching was confusing all the customers at the location. To the point one of the workers had to process the customers himself. Self dispatching is fine but a large segment of the community isn’t that technologically inclined. And I would guess the overwhelming majority of people who walk in aren’t capable of self dispatching. Those who are capable or wanted to will never walk inside in the first place. You almost lost a lot of business to Penske if not for that one guy.

When I called the location to reserve the auto trailer they told me I had to do a 4 day rental because I only wanted to go one-way. The cost was more than $100 over the U-Haul site. I booked and paid the lesser price through the website. When I arrived to pick up they initially did not want to honor the reservation, until I pointed out it was already paid for. When I returned the trailer at the destination I found that the return location had been changed from what I originally entered. I assume this was done at this store.

My experience was great until we needed to drop off the trailer. My drop off location was 20 minutes away, eventhough there was a U Haul location 2 blocks from my destination. Not only were we not allowed to drop off at the trailer at the closer location, we were greeted by Tycese, who wanted to get in my daughters face and yell awful obscenities-an older gentleman got in front of Tycese and prevented her from accosting my daughter. We absolutely did not want to go to the Lehigh address,due to the fact that it's the area of Philly we're all the heroin addicts are and we did not believe it to be safe. After the altercation at the Washington Ave address and all the employees were yelling and demanding we leave, we proceeded to call the police and headed toward the Lehigh address. When we arrived to the Lehigh address, the employees were friendly and helpful- the facility was clean and well maintained, but unfortunately in a very scary part of town- many zombie like drug addicts wondering the streets begging for money and ironically it was a much safer place, because there was no Tycese getting in my daughters face and threatening to hurt us. I feel as though U Haul employees should have been more customer service oriented and offered to advise us how to get the drop off changed to their location-instead we were nearly assaulted and rudely kicked out. I have used U Haul several times and this was an experience that was going smoothly until drop off. There is absolutely not one reason why we should have been so rudely treated at the Washington Ave. UHaul- we should have been given the customer service # to investigate if we could change the drop off- all the employees should have been able to empathize and been glad to assist us in that process-I understand if folks have had a rough day or week or life, but all should remain calm and focused on the true question at hand. I am a registered nurse and have worked in the hospital setting for over 39 years and situations like a trailer drop off are not life or death, but I'm a customer who simply neededhelp and assistance and the situation never should have escalated to the horrible yelling scene.
