Made a online reservation for a pick up in the morning before hours. I get there to check in online and it tells me that no truck was ready. So I called the help line and was given the supervisor number. I had to call her and get to her to come to the store, and make a truck available. This is the 2nd that it has happened to me and they do not honor the $50 guarantee.

The Danville store is very crowded and when I got there 9 trucks were there returned and blocking the entire entrance. The space is limited making it very difficult. This store needs additional space for the volume and amount of trucks and rental equipment at this store. Would suggest a new location or a satellite store offering the services.

I reserved the truck in Danville. The day before pickup, I was notified that pickup would be in Martinsville (35 miles away). I visited the Danville location and Matthew changed the pickup to Danville. VERY helpful!!! Otherwise I would have to cancel.

We made a reservation for a 26 foot truck. Got to the location to pick it up and the representative told us it needed maintenance. So we had to get a 20 foot truck, which me want we had to make more trips to move and that equaled more miles, this ending up costing us more than we had budgeted. This was upsetting and costly. We were not satisfied with this.

The Customer Service Manager was EXCELLENT at this location! Unlike the Manager at Lee's Auto Shop or whatever in Martinsville, VA who was extremely rude and unhelpful. He stated that our 10 foot truck would not be there the next morning. Also stated that we better call U-Haul, because the 1-800-GO-UHAUL consistently makes BIG mistakes on customer requests for vehicles. It was as if we were bothering him or distrubing his auto repair business. We had to call the 1-800-GO-UHAUL and schedule a pickup in Danville, VA. Being from out of town, we had no choice but to eat the 34 miles by going to Danville and returning to Ridgeway to load the truck. Being a long-time U-Hual customer, I was shocked and very disappointed with the customer service at the first location in Martinsville, VA. No trucks in all of the Martinsville Area on a Wednesday.

I ordered A 15 foot truck for Friday and Saturday I confirmed that truck would be at the Lynchburg location I was told it would be there. I was to pick the truck up at 10 AM and received a call Matt I needed to go to South Boston to pick up a 26 foot truck that I ordered for one day. I don’t even know where South Boston is and I sure was not going to pick it up. I waited 30 minutes on my way hold on the u-haul corporate number. Once I got to the Lynchburg location the employees were rude and told me that’s how it worked no one ever called me and told me that I needed to go to South Boston to get a truck if you’re going to give us equipment out of town you need to call ahead of time this was for crap that I would have to drive hours to get a truck I should’ve been notified in advance I had people from out of town I took off work and they took off work and we wasted three hours picking up a truck the manager at Sout once I got to the Lynchburg location the employees were rude and told me that’s how it worked no one ever called me and told me that I needed to go to South Boston to get a truck if you’re going to give us equipment out of town you need to call ahead of time this was for crap that I would have to drive hours to get a truck I should’ve been notified in advance I had people from out of town I took off work and they took off work and we wasted three hours picking up a truck the manager at At Lynchburg was too busy to go pick the truck up for us because he was washing the windows for the “bigwigs to come “he had a 15 foot truck available he said I could have it for one day he didn’t want to mess the reservations at for the people tomorrow but why are my reservations less important than those picking up tomorrow that was very heartless and unfair I don’t know if it was because I am a woman or he’s just a little bitch. it's impossible to get in and park. also when we came to unload there was an advertisement for a U-Haul box in the way and 1 employee who couldn't move it. it's hard to get in and out in a reasonable time for supplies (I've heard that from many others since then) and i just found out that 1 of my friends has a storage unit the size of mine for $65 a month instead of my $104. So I'm very disappointed in the entire experience and once my storage is out, I won't recommend U-haul to anyone. I'm not even a complainer but i hope this feedback helps someone else
