With only an hour left before I could pick up my rental, I received a call from your West Colfax location saying that they no longer had a truck for me. When I called customer service, nobody could tell me whether or not there was a truck available. I kept getting transferred and disconnected. Finally on my 4th attempt at calling your customer service, someone was able to find me a truck, but sent me directions to the wrong location. I WILL NEVER GIVE U-HAUL BUSINESS AGAIN. PENSKE AND BUDGET IS WHO I WILL WORK WITH MOVING FORWARD. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND U-HAUL TO ANYONE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.

I initially rented the truck for two days. I wanted to keep it longer, so I called and extended the rental for a few more days. After that, I called again and extended the rental for another week. On that occasion, I called the rental location, but the call was redirected to the national center. I arranged for a weekly rate that was considerably lower than the daily rate. I called again to extend for another week and again arranged for the lower weekly rate. When I returned the truck, they wanted to charge me $1,000, which was hundreds of dollars more than I should have owed. The man at the location, who was quite sullen and non-communicative, told me that they didn't offer a weekly rate and that they had no indication that I had spoken to the national center. They didn't offer to call the national number, so I had to do it. The service center people suggested that I pay the $1,000, which I did and wait for a refund while they researched the issue. When I paid the money, I was surprised that I didn't have to physically give them my credit card, because they had kept the information. The issue still hasn't been researched and it has been weeks. I've sent e-mails and there has been no response. When I checked my credit card statement, I see that my credit card was charged random amounts repeatedly during the rental period. I'm not impressed by the location or by U-Haul's response to the problem.

I was told the vehicle was at 3/4 of a tank when I picked it up and I was to return the truck at the same fuel level. The truck however was only at 5/8 of a tank when I drove off the lot. As a courtesy, I filled the tank to 7/8. Had hoped for a reduction on the overall cost because of this but that didn't happen.

The Trailer we got had a smell. It would have been good for them to open the trailer before it was hooked up and we drove off. Did not see the inside of the trailer till we got home. Then it was too late to return.

Holy shit. The experience was great, but the fuckin badgering emails .... Jeeessuuus. Maybe send AN email, maybe another two days later...I've gotten 5 emails from you in the last 5 hours since I returned the truck. You are a self fufilling prophecy of shitty service after you already gave great service. Maybe tweak the email bot to have a little more shame. I give 4 out of 5 buckets of dicks to your current process.

I had an online (self) reservation scheduled for a 630 am pickup time. I went to the store anticipating everything would be ready to go - I was wrong. Since the store did not open until 7am, i was unable to pickup my rental at the scheduled time causing me to miss my meeting. How can I get a reservation confirmation for a pickup time earlier than when the store opens? Ridiculous and very inconvenient. I will not be using this method again until the App/Online self Registration is fixed.
