Broke down less than a block from the U-Haul had to rent another U-Haul plus call road service. they wouldn't let me just swap out for another truck. So I ended up renting to U-Hauls. And had to return both of them. Definitely be using Penske next time. Now I have to fight to get a reimbursement for the second U-Haul totally unprofessional I've been in the moving business for 35 years and U-Hauls all over the country never treated like this

Was told on the phone that the motorcycle trailer would include straps- it did not and I had to purchase some. Lastly, I couldn’t drop off the trailer after 5pm and had to go at 7am before work to drop it off and there was no one there to help and had to wait until I found someone.

Be on time. Had 9am appt- did not get served until 9:40. Discuss the equipment- did not explain anything about the trailer- like the fender folds down! One strap was stuck and did not work.

AWFUL! I will never use this location again and would not recommend it to anyone! I was charged a $150 damage fee that I did not authorize because I was waiting to receive a call from the area manager to dispute a damage claim. I have yet to receive a call, yet my card has been charged. Diego, the general manager, insisted that the front bumper was “damaged” because it had a scuff on it that was easily wiped off. He accused us of putting grease on it that would dry and the mark would come back. He is not a reasonable person and I would beware of renting anything at this location. If you look online there are many other complaints against him and one star reviews. I rent from uhaul regularly and have never experienced anything so shady!

Have someone at counter. I pre-checked in thinking I would get quick service. Nobody at desk for at least 10 minutes. Then when someone available he was more of an operate on phi e than helping customers. Almost left for another rental place.

You don’t need anything..Amanda and Sam were extremely nice and helpful. They fed off of each other very well and knew what they were talking about. Sam calmed me down and gave me pointers as I was driving 18 hours with the trailer

I would suggest thoroughly washing all windows before a vehicle is sent out with a customer. The exterior of the windows on our truck were very dirty and smeary and the inside was covered with a haze. As we headed east into the 8:00 a.m. sun, it was almost impossible to see through the glare at times. The experience was unsettling and dangerous.

Sam, during pickup, and Juan, during return, were both very helpful and customer oriented. The 4' x 7' open bed trailer itself hauled very well behind my small and lite Honda Fit.

Staff at the pickup location was excellent -- please don't misunderstand. They were extremely helpful, but they were dealing with faulty computer systems, unreliable info from corporate (the supplies I paid for were not available at the pickup location -- I was told I would have to go to the originally scheduled location, which was changed 48 hours before my pickup....this is insanely inconvenient and I'm shocked that Uhaul hasn't been shut down by the better business bureau for repeated headaches like this over my several years of experience renting vans, trailers, etc). You need to dramatically improve your computer systems. Furthermore, the truck bed was filthy when I picked up, and the auto transport didn't end up fitting the tires on my vehicle, after I specifically asked a representative over the phone if I needed to bring the vehicle in for a pre-tow inspection, and I was told "you'll be fine" -- please go back and listen to your own recording of that call. I ended up having to purchase additional ratchet straps and secure the vehicle to the trailer myself, which it not my realm of expertise and made me extremely unsatisfied with the overall experience. You need to do better. This is unacceptable.

We had a really hard time contacting this location via phone on several different occasions and had long wait times. They seem to be under staffed. We also received competing answers to some of our questions depending on who we spoke to at the location. Finally, and most importantly, when we dropped off the trailer in Madison the Uhaul employee realized that the pick-up location never put in the safety pin which connects the trailer to the hitch. We were pulling a lot of weight over mountains and across multiple states at interstate speeds on solely the chains. This is terrible. I have tried calling the Denver Alameda location to complain about this so they realize their mistake but have yet to get through on phone and they have not yet tried to call me back despite my request to U-haul customer service.

This store got me a U haul in 15 minutes. It took over 15 hours to be blocked from renting one at your 2000 West Colfax location. Hopefully, I’ll never have to use your services again even though the guy at this location was a rockstar. That’s just how shitty that other location of yours was...

waited and hour and a half to pick up truck, and pre did everything on line. an hour and a half on moving day is way tooo long to wait for a truck. The process should be quicker, especially since everything was already done on line

The parking lot is really small so it was hard to maneuver the vehicle I rented when I was returning it. I also fueled the vehicle before returning with the right amount as I had when I picked up the vehicle. The employee that helped me told me I did not out enough fuel and said it was way below what was actually in there. So to avoid being overly charged for gas I went to just fill up the tank to avoid any more issues. I told the employee I would be right back since the gas station was across the street. She kept my contract. When I returned the store was locked up and closed. I was gone for a short amount of time and the employee knew I was coming back. I left the keys in the drop box and then walked to the back of the store to find an employee since I didn’t have my contract. I found someone and explained the situation. I’m he process when I picked up the vehicle was fine but returning it was not the best service. I’ll use U-Haul again but I won’t go to this location.
