The truck was not made available at the location I made the reservation for and I was not notified that I have to travel far to another location. This was inconvenient and I can't depend on using U-haul in the future.

I ordered a van for 1995 for one day the location to pick up with Carlisle Iowa Tuesday night I had called and talked with the gentleman due to my work hours he agreed to meet me when I got off work late to sign the paperwork so my son can pick up the van the next evening when I arrived they did not have the van they did not have my reservation we made arrangements for my son to go with the guy to the South East 14th to pick up the van not a truck for 1995 there was to be a dolly in the van which there was not due to the trouble the van was to be picked up in the morning it was the only time that I could help us get the van so now I was charged $78,000 for not one day but 2 days my bill is over $200 which is unacceptable there was no dolly in the van to move my son to college up three floors all of this is been a horrible experience and I was way over charged for all of this it would be great if someone would contact me to get this straightened out

Cory and Nick are excellent representatives for Tim and U-Haul. They were prompt in their assistance of my truck rentals and even carried out several packing items to our vehicle. Tim started the truck so it would be cool on a hot and humid summer day in IA. The store provides all essential items for packing and loading. I would return to this location, but my wife and I are relocating to MI in a his (26') and her truck combo (20') from U-Haul!

We arrived to the 63rd Street location to pick up our truck Friday evening which we had confirmed and been very specific about pick up location only to find out there was no truck for us there and that we needed to pick up a truck at the SE 14th location. Heavy traffic due to state fair and rush hour so this experience was very frustrating. Interesting that "Tim," the person that called that day regarding our pick up NEVER mentioned the new location. Staff was as helpful as they could have been at both locations since we are not familiar with the area. If you are specific about a pick up location and they confirm it then UHaul should do as they said. An employee from the other location should have driven the truck to the 63rd location earlier that day!!!!!

This was one of the better experiences we had with UHAUL. The last time we used this location, a worker named Tim was incredibly rude and belligerent. It made us pause in choosing UHAUL for our moving needs again. We have been loyal customers since 2000 and we were very unimpressed with the attitudes at this particular location over the years. Perhaps the whole location has not improved as a whole, but the worker we dealt with was a vast improvement over the last worker we encountered. We were beginning to wonder if employees took customer service seriously at this location.

Everyone at location was great. Your web site is a different story I reacted a 20 ft truck online show up and am told the 20 ft trucks are one way only rentals wound up with a 26 ft truck which was what I wanted but website said none available overall pleasant experience at se14th location

My concern is each time I come to rent or purchase something at your store their is a terrible wait. That wait can last anywhere from 15 minutes to over a half an hour. I don't want to discount the help received once your team member was ready to assist it just that it takes so long.

I was issued a "24 hour" access card to my rental unit. As moves often go, I was in a sensitive time frame, and left the 4001 SE 14th St. location in Des Moines with a load of items (unloaded from my storage unit) to go drop things off in my new place. Unfortunately, the card issued to me didn't work when i returned just minutes after close. I had left a framed poster (one that is deeply dear to me and is a token gifted to me by a friend in a long chain of ownership of said poster (see sentimental value) outside of my storage unit so it wouldn't suffer any more damage during the process. My hour away turned into 15 hours away because when i returned that Friday night I couldn't get into the facility to access my storage unit. I was locked out. When i returned the next morning, the poster was nowhere to be found. The staff was polite and convincingly concerned, yet at the same time, they had no answer for what happened and took no affirmative action to help remedy my grievance. The so called "access card" ,which was a part of the unit contract, disallowed me from being able to enter, apparently the result of some IT glitch (multiple sales reps gave varying explanations of how the IT guy screwed up the system). Fair enough. Things go bad. Having to come back the next morning is an inconvenience but not a hardship. Finding that a prized token of sentimental value (a poster mind you, not a stereo, a TV or a computer, something i would not expect to be lifted in a 30 or so minute interval) was simply lifted by some anonymous figure (or more likely thrown away despite staff protestations that they 'don't toss things'). I write this note, in part, to vent. But more to the point, I am detailing this item (one which I'm sure will go unread) in hopes that someone in the UHaul family will at least inquire as to whether or not staff on site knew anything, or could review security footage to see if it was lifted by a non-employee. Or, at the very least, pay for a new copy of the poster (the cinematic poster for "The Paper" (starring Michael Keaton, Marissa Tomei, etc.,) as well as a proper frame and glass exterior. If none of these things occur, I assure you I will no longer patron UHaul, will be sure to share my experience with any acquaintance, most likely via social media and may seek legal remedies. So. Please write me back. Or call me. I'll be calling y'all come Monday when the manager is back. I hope he is helpful.

The representative did not give me a time frame on when he was coming back to serve me. Luckily after 5 minutes, another representative came to the desk and helped me. She did a wonderful job. Inspection check-in process was simple.

When I picked up truck air conditioning didn't work so they hit fan motor with hammer to get it to work. About 2to3 hours into trip air completely quit working so I had about. 3 hours of driving in 95 degree weather. Then I had to drop off truck almost 20 miles away when there was a place only 5 miles away.

Assistants did not seem well trained in customer service aspects. Waited several minutes for a clerk as another stood by and didn't offer assistance. Then both left as I stood there to be waited on. Could have left with whatever I wanted and no one would probably know or care.

IF you truly care about your customers, DO NOT make them listen to a ton of routing options for service. That is a disservice. ALlow me to call the store directly so that I may get a simple question answered. OR train your call center to be able to answer questions - do not forward to a menu of routing options - NOT during a stressful move. Perhaps your market research team should engage in true customer experience work so that your call center team can get a clue. I wanted to scream. I just hung up and said that was a worthless waste of time. They (corporate) wouldn't know customer service if it hit them in the bottom. By the way, the question above should include a maybe/undecided response category. ANd do not force me to give you an answer when I am undecided. You will get garbage data back.

Rented for 8am pick up, day before received call it would be ready at noon. Transferred to scheduler in different state to move pick up back to 8. Transferred two more times before helped and time moved back to original time. On the phone for 20-30 minutes.

Took 3 hours to rent my truck. Uhaul changed the time, the rental location. The site had 3 people working there. The computers were down. They attempted to get support but none was coming. The workers were very frustrated. The customers too. 4 people walked out while I was there.the workers did keep their cool which was totally amazing. Never again will I use uhaul.
