Truck I rented was dirty , windows needed cleaning in order to see the road , which I did myself at the gas station . Radio didn't work at all , the rental agent didn't think that was important but i disagree , when traveling a radio comes in handy for traffic etc

First off, customer service is ZERO!! We rented a 15 feet truck at 4.30pm in ddo and the person that was there estimated 76$ , fair enough he said that the amount would go down off my credit card cause he estimated us using 50km. The truck milleage was 77524.1 when we got it and returned it at 77550 to be precised we used 26 km. The gas was half tank and we returned it at half tank! And today i checked and they still charged me 76$ plus 9$ for gas ! Called the manager he told us to get a lawyer if we want our money back??! That his busy and doesnt have time to talk to me, but had time to charge my CC though! Like what?? Ur a manager and thats the kind of response? As we were trying to explain that we had the contract infront of us and i even took pictures of the milleage AND THE GAS!! he actually put us on hold and never picked back the phone. this is daylight robbery and i WILL NEVER USE ANY UHUAL OUTLETS nor recommend it to anyone!! Its a shame that this is the kind of service you get for your money!!

When returning a van, I recommend the customer "top up" the gas tank to ensure the tank is completelly full for the next customer. I filled the tank in Cornwall, Ontario, and when I returned the van to the Dollard Des Ormeaux location, the van consumed 20 litres of gas when I topped up the tank even though the gas tank indicated "full." This "top up" gesture is a bit of kindness passed on to the next customer.

Publicité: louez un camion 15/17' pour $29.95 par jour mais la réalité après assurance + $0,69/ km + diable + ==> tout ça revient en fait en gros à $90.00 pour un petit voyage de 40 km,s ... pour moi c'est de la fausse publicité ou on me prend pour un con..?! Je m'attendais au départ que le tout soit autour de $80. Alors vous commme budget et les autres pourriez être plus ´´ upfront'´ honnête dans votre publicité. Mais à part ça mon expérience à été bien positive avec personnel poli et gentil.

Only issue was the air conditioning did not work. It would work for 15 minutes and then no air flow, turn it off for 10 minutes and then it would work again for another 15 minutes. Annoying to say the least on a 4400km trip across Canada

Overall a great experience in spite of a stressful move. The facilities and service really put my mind at ease. The only thing I wasn't happy about is that I was obliged to rent a large storage for an additional month because they did not have a smaller one available. I will get credit for the difference once one becomes available but my understanding is that the credit must be used for storage rentals in the following months.

Good vehicle. Easy to handle. Excellent service at desk. esay administration and polite. Interior of the vehicle was very dusty and there was a lot of cat hair as well as pieces of animal food. We had to keep the windows open because it was somewhat suffocating. We started to suffer from allergies which we attribute to cat hair.

First I would like to say that I rarely write reviews, but in this particular situation I felt obliged to report what happened. The associate named Brenda (if I recall correctly) at the Dollard-Des-Ormeaux location assisted me when I came to pick up the truck at 9:00AM. She advised me to bring the truck back at 4:30PM because they close at 5PM and she had somebody who was waiting to rent the truck at precisely 4:30PM. I was slightly confused by this because the original representative I spoke with over the phone, the one who booked by reservation on June 22nd for July 2nd; informed me that if I kept the truck past closing hours, I would simply be charged an addition $39 (or whatever the 4 hour rate is the following morning). Either way, I figured I would try my best to bring the truck back for 4:30PM. fast forward to 3:45PM, I'm running a little behind and will need to keep the truck past 4:30PM. I call the DDO location and speak with Brenda again. (This is when things took a turn for the worst) I advised her that I will be keeping the truck past closing and will bring it back before opening on July 3rd (as I was told I could do by the phone representative who reserved my truck) And Brenda (Again not 100% that is her name), just went off on me. She started calling me a liar, saying how I said that I would bring it back at 4:30PM, she said she didn't care what my email confirmation said, because the contract I wrote in store with her said 4:30PM and it is the end all be all. She went as far as to say that I (the customer) was inconveniencing her and that she would charge be $150 late penalty if it wasn't back at 4:30PM. After this conversation that left me in disbelief, I disconnected the call and simply redialed the U-Haul support number. A friendly representative (can't remember her name) profusely apologized on Brenda's behalf and sorted everything out for me. Thanks to Brenda, I will never use U-Haul services again, which is unfortunate because the truck, price, phone support, booking and return process were all outstanding. I hope that she was simply having a bad day, and that she can be properly coached to ensure another paying customer doesn't "inconvenience" her again. If possible, I would like to be contacted to provide some addition thoughts on the interaction. 514-608-1443 Regards, Danial
