Staff was friendly and helpful. The online process made the pick process much easier the day of. Although the email to my home address was not able to be read or printed out. I don't know if this was a problem on my end or U-haul's end.

The first truck had a malfunctioning defroster on a morning with ice on the windshield. We swapped trucks. Unfortunately, after I had done the inspection. Typically, I find the truck ready with moving pads and dolly. I had to wait to get those and then transfer them between trucks.

Uhaul has gone down hill. My first trip into the store was a sign I should have gone somewhere else. I was the only customer standing in the store for 5 to 10 minutes. A gentleman was sitting off to side who worked there, who couldn't be bothered to get off his long enough to help me. When he finally did I asked him about renting a 26' truck for 3 days all I got back was you need to call uhaul for availability. Looking at him in disbelief because I'm standing in a uhaul you cant check availability here? The online and customer service over the phone home was no help at all. I wanted to rent a 26' truck for 3 days and told me I couldn't do it. Then said it would be well over 200 dollars. When I questioned it was told that's what it is, said I'm looking at the website and it says 40. She did admit to a mistake but said she couldn't help me for the time period With no explanation as to why. I hang up and let a few days pass. I go online and rent a truck for 24 hours which is not near enough check again and another one is available so I rent that one also. I proceed to go in to the store again and speak with Luis. He explained the difference between my reservation and why it wouldn't work because of availability. It's funny how he was able to tell me this but the very first guy couldn't be bothered and the customer service rep couldn't explain it. He was able to get me in to a slightly smaller truck which I made work. Luis was the only saving grace for this entire experience. He had exceptional customer service skills and organization. He would be the only reason I would ever use uhaul again, but as it stands I wont and I still make sure I tell everyone not to either. I should have paid the little extra to go to enterprise.

I really appreciated the staff when we picked up the vehicle, and the ease at which it was returned. However, it took me calling three times to get my account closed and a total for what I paid. It was a busy weekend, for sure, but I would have appreciated being told when I should receive a receipt. The main U-haul customer service staff were great, however, they contacted the local branch multiple times, without any results. I found the whole process confusing and an added stressor that didn't need to take place. I'm not sure if more staff on a busy weekend would help, but having more staff available to handle customer inquiries would have been beneficial.

I used the mobile app to set up the rental. When I was ready for the key, As instructed, I walked inside to the front of the line to the side counter and showed one of the agents my phone, They were friendly, and PROMPTLY handed me the key. If I could give 10 stars I would. I've rented from this store several times and it's always a good experience. If I could give on recommendation however, I would make a better lot for customer parking. I only need the rental for 4 hours so I had to leave my car there and I had to make my own parking spot.

I never received the receipt with an explanation of charges. It seems I had an extra $10+ charged to me and I don't know why? The dashboard had a tire maintenance required when I picked up the truck that morning. Why? Did the employees not care? The lot was full of returned trucks when I arrived an hour early to return. It was a struggle to figure out where to leave the truck. I waited almost 5 + minutes for an employee to come out of the bathroom to return my truck only to be told I was good to go with no receipt or check of the truck...I knew that was a mistake. Avoid Saturday's was my lesson. I had a much better experience the last time on a Monday.

I placed my reservation for another location and time but your system changed both. Ironically the location I selected was open and the vehicle requested was sitting on their lot when I drove by. This is not very customer friendly at all!!! People request vehicle type, time, and location for a reason you need to learn to honor those requests.

There were cigarette butts in the ashtray and it smelled disgustingly of cigarettes. Wasn’t expecting that from a rental truck, didn’t have time to ask for something different.

Insure the location is properly staffed and you are able to return the equipment to the return area. the return area was over flowing with non processed vehicles. The lone employee was outstanding working to move the customers along and provided them the equipment that they needed.

I decided not to take the insurance. Then I was told about all the things that could go wrong and that I would be responsible for. I was told that if I broke down on the road, ant costs would be on me. So, I asked why everything would be on me. A blown tire I could understand being on me unless the tire was bad. But I asked if a gasket blew and was told that it would be on me too. It seemed like every thing i asked about would be on me. I felt like I was being blackmailed into taking the insurance which I did. Rather than use this approach, you should just add insurance to the cost and have done with it.

Initially my reservation was at "Teddy's", 5309 Main St., East Petersburg, PA. I arrived on time and the facility was CLOSED. Other than a U-haul sign at the curb it had NO U-haul equipment, including my reserved trailer, on-site. I called the phone number for "Teddy's" and he seemed surprised I had a reservation with him. He said to try the U-Haul Moving & Trailer Hitch Center of Lancaster in East Petersburg. I did go there and was taken care of without problem. Based on my experience you may want to reconsider having "Teddy's" as a U-haul location.

Make sure that all snow is removed off truck. Customer should not have to clean off wind-shield.

Someone else took my uhaul and it was unavailable when I went to pick it up. If I was half an hour later I would have been unable to move because the other location was closing soon. Three different customer service people couldn’t comprehend that I wasn’t the one who picked up the original uhaul and drove it 20 miles. I was also told they would call me about the dispute and haven’t heard anything.

We waiting 45 minutes in line to find out our truck we reserved was not available. When I mentioned the $50 reservation guarentee he laughed and said oh well we are just giving you a bigger truck but then we had to pay the price difference for the bigger truck.

Jeremy was awesome!! He was very pleasant and accommodating. He had a driver quit on him and some unhappy customers due to the online service but his attitude and customer service were exceptional. Because of him I would recommend this location.
