Travis Kelly is an awful sales manager at U-Haul of eureka. There are a lot of nice employees there but perhaps they should look into firing Travis! Avoid unless you want to be hassled, patrionised and very annoyed with a jobsworth manager who has no respect for his customers or fellow employees.

The employees were very helpful and friendly. Even though it was busy and there was a long queue all employees were helpful and courteous. We saw several employees running (literally running) from the trucks back to the service desk to assist customers more quickly.

Wrong card charged



The online ordering was total chaos, I had to call back 3 times to complete my order. I spend a hour at your facility while my order was being processed due to the online information being incorrectly entered and the computer not working. I swiped my credit card at the facility almost 20 times. The dolly I was given had broken tow chains and tie down straps that were almost completely frayed through. The mechanic replaced the tow chain but told me to use the tie down straps. I took a picture of the straps if you would like to see the condition. When I returned the dolly the drop off store was highly concerned with the condition.

Clearer communication with the customer. I stated that I did not want to pay for insurance because I had my own for the vehicle that I rented. The clerk did not understand or did not help me correctly when I was filling out the form. I thought I was just signing for the vehicle, when he had me sign a form for insurance. When I brought the vehicle back with no issues or problems and found that I was charged for the insurance, I was told that there was nothing they could do. Not very good customer service in my opinion.

Wouldn't let me park the u haul I rented for just 4 hours while I went to work. Said it wasn't their problem and I could go park it on a street somewhere. Staff there was super rude to me, and I didn't appreciate the way they talked to me. They also walked away from me quickly before I could even say anything back. I will not be returning to this location, and will not recommend this location for the way I was treated.

Hmmmm. I called the 5th street uhaul in Eureka Ca who told me they were in conflict with uhaul and had no trucks, yet if I called his wife later that night she could reserve a truck for me???? Sounded shady so I called Jacobs Ave uhaul three different times throughout the day preferring to talk with local dealer and finally just let the call be transfered to the main corporate answering service. They reserved a truck for me at American Auto Detali in Eureka Ca. telling me Jacobs Ave did not have a truck for me. The day before I called AAD and they told me they did not have a truck for me. Back to calling Jacobs Ave uhaul and same thing no answer I was transfered to corporate answering service only for them to tell me reservation was switched to Jacobs Ave. Ok I was proactive and a problem for me was averted. I could not get through to Jacobs Ave uhaul to confirm reservation after 7 times calling, I was always transfered to corporate answering service. I Arrived to pick up the truck reserved for 915am at Jacobs ave to find out no trucks available. I was told that "they" had left for Fortune CA to pick up two 20 foot trucks 45 minutes ago., which is about 23 mile trip one way. Finally, as I waited I was told that "they " were stuck in traffic. For those of you who are from this area, Hmmmm makes you wonder, we are pretty rural. HWY 101 was not closed you do the thinking.on that "comment". After waiting 45 minutes I was told that I could take a 26 foot truck, which I gladly did, 8 friends were waiting for me. Reservation was for 9:15am. I finally left the parking lot at 10:21am. I had to have a service man remark the gas level due to the paper work being incorrect, good thing I checked the gas level and mileage prior to leaving the parking lot. Sadly the lack of customer service, communication and reservation service seems to be a norm for corporations. Very terrible inter-personable service. Relationships between customers and corporations which seem non existent nowadays as you talk with some one in another state or country whom has no interest in customer service. Other than the obvious questionable "comments" The service man was polite at pick up and drop off at the Jacobs Ave u haul.

Your customer service at the corporate level sucks. I was on hold for 17 minutes to speak with a customer service rep and the only reason I had a phone number was because someone called me the day before. Even the locations acknowledge that the customer service sucks.

The rear view mirrors were so dirty I could hardly see. The inside of the van was dusty and the back had not been swept, yet was expected to be cleaned when I returned it. Last year at the same time in July I rented a moving truck from the same location. When I made the reservations prior to picking the truck up, I was promised a truck with a ramp and when I got there the attendant brought the truck around and at that time realized it had no ramp and he said there were no other trucks available but that I could rent a dolly. I was a bit discouraged and told him so, and I believe he only charged me a small fee for the dolly which was nice but it was myself a female and a female friend that had to move extremely large and heavy furniture by ourselves and without that ramp we had a horrible time getting things off the truck. It just really slowed us down and we were on a time limit. Regardless of that situation I decided to give them another shot and besides the dirty truck I was charged one price in the begging and a different price at the end, it was very confusing and when I asked the attendant who was a different guy who was there for the original transaction why the different price? He literally was speechless and shook his shoulders with no verbal answer, it was very unprofessional. So for these reasons I cannot recommend your business to a friend or family.

Have more than two employees working on the weekend. Give employees at every site access to more information about other drop-off sites so that customers who are dropping off U-Hauls in other locations can be well informed on the other sites' hours of operation, self-drop off options/procedures etc.
