Staff was nice and helpful. Trailer had a string urine smell and there was rat feces in the inside. Even after cleaning it at home, the smell was present. After our belongings sat in the truck for close to 2 days, the urine smell was on our belongings.

Stood in line for ever during pick up. Stood in line during drop off, before finally asking if I needed to stand in line. Representative said, oh, actually you can just drop off your key with me. Thanks for making that clear. Was charged for two days, when I only used it for 1. Called the local office and was on hold for 10 minutes just to talk to someone. Then, when I explained I had an issue with my bill, he said, I'd have to talk to customer service. Still on hold after over 10 more minutes (after begging not to be put on hold again). Not pleased. Don't know the outcome, but in addition to refunding the double charge, you should refund my mileage charges for the 30+ minutes of my valuable time I've had to spend dealing with your mistake and being put on hold. My contract is 81917962. My # is 541-760-1041. What are you going to do to "keep your promise"?

Michael High was very nice and provided excellent customer service. The location was very busy and he handled the stream of customers quickly and efficiently. His customer service was greatly appreciated as I have had bad experiences at this location before.



Tow hitch on 10 foot truck is not very visible when loading truck. My helper and i accidently bashed our legs on it. Please at least paint them bright orange or something, to remind customer it’s there. Bumper is slippery when climbing out. Needs grip tape, since 10 foot truck has no ramp. Almost dropped something breakable.

Stop treating your customers like shit. I have been ripped off by you guys so much over the last six months, I praise God I finally got off your leash. I felt like a hooker only I had to pay you to get fucked. It all started with a magical forklift broken on the day I had to move to Oregon. They never answerthe phone. They never call back. They do not compensate for treating you like shit. I gave them about 3000 dollars all because they fucked up. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I will never use uhaul again and I will tell everyone I know how much they fucked me over. So in my final words. Screw Uhaul for the assholes they are.

I spent 2 hours trying to get the trailer that I had reserved. There was a point of sale system problem and no way to execute the transaction on a piece of paper. I had cash and all necessary ID, but still, no way to rent the trailer manually. Unfortunately, I could not find another option and had to wait at the counter for 1.5 hours until the system came back online. I really feel like the company should have a back up plan for internet outages or system failures. Many people were affect on a massive scale. I also noticed that the computer systems had an operating system of windows XP! Outdated with tons of security risk. I’ll be selling my shares of Amerco right away.

The corporate call center got literally everything wrong, my name my phone number where I was going and where I would be dropping off the truck. Never will I call again, I will drive my ass to the physical location and deal with the excellent service they can provide. A specific shoutout to David hoffert who did a marvelous job of helping me choose a truck and to understand how to operate the vehicle and what condition to leave it in heck he was even funny. So in summery: the call center needs to be cut out of the loop and the Jacobs avenue U-Haul in eureka California needs a medal for excellent service

Took me a half hour to rent a trailer because of computer failure. Was told to return trailer by close 7:00pm. Turned trailer in at 610. Was told I was late. Suppose to be 530pm and charged over $20.00 more. Was never told I would be penalized if later than 530. Won’t rent from this location again. Even bought the insurance. Poor store.

Remove the requirements of an email address and second telephone number. The email is meaningless, and an invasion of my personal life. Never before has anyone required me to have email to conduct business off-line. I can imagine the frustration of someone who lacks email and tries to rent a truck at the last minute. And when there is only one phone number that could possibly reach me, don't claim you need another, forcing me to give the number of an unsuspecting friend who is promptly disturbed by you. This was not the first time I've used U-Haul, but will likely be the last. These requirements made for an unpleasant experience, and have left a very bitter aftertaste.

I rented a U-Haul box van to move some items out of a storage . the move went very easy and the vehicle was operated on the hiway and city streets. When I returned the truck, an attendant went over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb, and began taking pictures of the right side of the cargo box. when I asked him if there was a problem he stated that there was damage that was not there prior to delivery. He pointed out a scuff mark about a foot long.Prior to pick up I did a walk around looking for physical damage to the truck, not cosmetic damage to graphic on a truck with over 150,000 miles. when i told them that i did not come near anything that would have contacted the truck they told me that I must be mistaken. and since I had purchased the insurance to not worry about it. so I was basically called either a liar or an idiot. over the years I have rented no fewer than twenty five trucks or trailers from various U-Haul dealers in the State of California, to the tune of several thousand dollars. I can assure you that this will be the last time that I will rent from U-Haul if I have a viable option.
