Very poor service, waited 20mins for someone to come out and greet me at the truck drop off. Other issues with fuel gauge and instead of listening the employee kept stating it was his last day and he just didn't care.

Check your oil and coolant levels BEFORE releasing a vehicle to a customer. Also, keep an eye(ear) out for bad brakes. The squealing is annoying. Other than that, no real issues. Would do it again. Thank you!

Honor a return of a an unused UHAUL box back, even without a receipt. It's obvious I purchased the box at UHAUL, it has they Uhaul name on it. Any location should be able to provide a return for an unused purchase without a receipt. Highly irritating - I don't care if your books are not able to be kept if there is not a receipt. I purchased the box at another Uhaul location, and I should be able to return the unused box at any Uhaul location. Bad customer service - not honoring returns, just because there is no receipt. Fix it Uhaul - it's an internal administrative scenario that you should not drag your customers into. Your franchises should be able to know how to refund an unused box or roll of tape without a receipt. Every time I've used Uhaul to move, I've had some significant snafu that highly irritated or stressed me - not all my fault. As a customer, I am really disgruntled with Uhaul and in the future, I guarantee you that will go to every effort possible to find another rental service next time I move. I doubt I will even get half an acknowledgement about this review - whoever the CEO is needs to be fired - and get someone in there who has some experience and knowledge about customer service and how to make sure this happens with franchises and company locations.

When I made the reservation it was for the entire day. When I picked up the truck they said it was for a half day. My contract said the gas tank was full and it was not. I took a picture of the gauge but they would not discount me

we were rented a defective and dangerous truck. The cargo door spring broke while we are trying to pack after the first night and the door would not close. We had to get out of the storage area before a certain time, so we had to drive out of the storage on to the street with the back door open. very stressful Road side assistance was called - all they could do was disconnect the tension cables - making the door extremely heavy. The next day we went back to U-Haul - they said they couldn't fix it nor did they have another truck to exchange.... They put it on us to find another truck, as if we had time to do this. We were forced to use this broken and dangerous truck for the rest of the move. It took us twice as long - we could not get helpers for fear the door would slam down on someone...Extreme physical strain to open this door, we had use another vehicle so as to not have to open and close back door more then we needed it to. We are demanding a significant refund because of the added stress and physical stress caused by your faulty equipment. We have been insulted by the Eureka location offering us some shitty "gift certificate" for future use.....Why would we use your services again after this experience? Plus, we get some email about 'gas charges' because we didn't return the truck with the right about of fuel - insinuating that this will go to collections.... We are not paying you another single dime.Eat it. You rented us a faulty dangerous truck, were unable nor willing to fix it or exchange it and forced us to bear the burden. You best make it right by us - or get prepared to have your lawyers defend the rental to us of damaged, unsafe equipment.

Once I was able to speak to a representative, the "check in" process went smoothly. When I got there, myself and four other customers were waiting for service- no one was at the front desk. After waiting for several minutes, an employee suddenly ran in from a back room, and said the "cameras didn't show the area" in which everyone was waiting. Three people wanted to rent equipment, one person was buying shipping boxes, and I just needed to return my rental. As soon as the employee stepped to the counter, it was a "free-for-all" as everyone rushed to be waited on. The customer in front of me went through the entire rental process, and was turned down for no proof or insurance. Eventually, another employee came and started helping people. I felt as though someone should have been in the shop to assist customers, but if that can't happen, then there should be some process where people take numbers, so they can be waited on in order.

I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years. I rented a trailer in Redding Ca. pulled it to Eureka Ca. Personal things came up and couldn't return trailer to Redding so dropped it off in Eureka and was triple charged. For the first twenty years of using UHAUL you would drop it off at any UHAUL and as long as you weren't late or the trailer was not damaged you would get charged the 1 day rental. these new penalties that this company has created because of the internet is no more than extortion. I will never use your services again and I will tell everyone that I can as long as I am alive about UHAULS criminal policies!!!

Unfortunately the trailer leaked and two mattresses and a couch were quite wet and a desk ruined as well. Hopefully your insurance company will honor the damage and replace the items.
