I have used this uhaul location plenty of times but i just viewed my online receipt, for a truck I rented on June 16th 2018, and realized my credit card was charged for 2 days when I only rented for 1.

Communication is key! Please stop booking if you are not going to have the equipment available! By the experience i had I was guessing that UBoxes were new to Uhaul, and I was wrong. And why is there only ONE driver and ONE truck to do deliveries?! Bobby is phenomenal, even though we got into a screaming match. She still was the MOST helpful person during this whole debacle! I even had to reach out to the General Manager myself to get any resolution. That in itself is poor customer service. I am glad that we got it all resolved, but I had to push to get this done.

The left turn signal/brake light was inoperable on the trailer I rented and the safety chain hooks were too tight to fit on my vehicle. Having a larger threaded c-ring being available for such issues would be helpful. I had to buy two locks to make the safety chains work as I needed the trailer.

I tried to make a change to my reservation within an hour of the rental. To me it didnt seem like a big deal since I needed trailer 1 day instead of 3. I wanted to change to a one way rental within Michigan. I called and read the paprwork and was told it could easily be done. Alas I was not allowed to change

Signs are not clear as to where to drop off equipment if coming from downtown Farmington Hills. I parked the truck and walked in only to find out that drop off was further down. I had to go back to the truck to move it to proper location. It is clear if you are coming from other direction.

Put up warning signs at hill in back of lot to chock your trailer before disconnecting from your vehicle. It happened to me the trailer started rolling down the hill.

I had a great experience with the rental and the location but I had a hard time with your self-service check in. I think whoever is responsible for this feature should go through it to see if it is customer friendly. I found it was not. I arrived at the rental location 10 minutes before it opened at 9am on Sunday ... for a 9am pickup. When I tried to use the self-service check I was told no equipment had been assigned to my reservation, and asked to call the number of the person responsible for Marketing and got an answering machine. So I waited until opening and went in. After waiting for an agent, I was told the equipment was not assigned because it could not be done before opening. I also found out that; 1) I could not add another set of furniture blankets if I used self-service and 2) I would have to upload a picture of the front and back of my driver's license. They told me that people that use self-service usually spend a long time in the parking lot and then eventually come in for help. Perhaps you should rethink this.

Upon arrival we met Alexander ! This man is the rudest person I’ve ever met. After several condescending remarks, we’ve decided to never visit this location ever again. Why is it necessary for him to ask the customer for there address when he already has my drivers license & a reservation was made and I was there 2 days prior & was already in the computer. He asked my husband if his name was “Peggy” after he was told that was my name & a nickname for Margaret. He acted in a manner of questioning everything we said. He was extremely combative & unprofessional. It was all we could do not to walk out. We did notice his extremely friendly manor to the customer after us, who was also African American. Prior to this day, the previous Saturday we also rented from UHaul and were told by the agent a refund would be give if the blanket packaging was returned unopened !! The attitude of your agents lacks a friendly feeling. Never did we hear, thank you or we appreciate your business as we have heard from your competitors. We have a choice in who we give our business to and in the future it will NOT be UHaul.
