Make sure they repair the lights on the 4x8 trailer. Had to take a 5x8 because the lights didn't work on the 4x8. Hope they get them fixed by the next time I need a trailer. Staff is awesome.

Truck was in good shape, staff was friendly...but we literally went 20 miles, said we were all set, get back to work and see that we were charged about $16 for gas. I understand you have to fill the tank where it was, but I highly doubt we used over 4 gallons of gas! Hilarious, we didn't even used 1/8 of a tank.

I rented a 5X8 trailer. Upon pickup at 12 noon, the yard hand hooked it up to my truck and said he would inspect the lights as I was in the truck operating them. He gave me the thumbs up for all the lights, including running lights. I proceeded to drive away. After driving several hours and several hundred miles, I made a pit stop at 10:30pm. I realized that I had no running lights on the trailer! Brake and turn signal lights worked, I messed with the connections to no avail. I was in no position to stop or find a place to get the lighting to work. All I could think was the Uhaul guy wasn't honest with me. I'm glad I didn't get a ticket or an accident! I was stressed about driving without lights. No a pleasant Uhaul experience!



Have a representative walk the customer out to the truck and view the speedometer together, THEN have customer sign the contract. Currently, 100% of the responsibility is on the customer to make sure the contract and the actual mileage is the same. This morning we neglected to check the mileage in the U-Haul parking lot. When I returned home, only two miles away from U-Haul did I check the mileage. I am an honest person and didn't believe my word would be questioned. When I returned the truck, not only did they admit there was an error on their end, they did not take my word for it. There was a compromise, but in the end, I was charged 10 more miles than what was driven. The burden of proof on the customer could be eliminated if you walked out to the truck and view the mileage together!!! Unless of course this is U-Haul's tactic for squeezing money out of your unsuspecting customer.

This was not my location choice. I chose a closer location, but Uhaul Dispatch contacted me to see if I would go to this location. The discounted rate helped me to go to this location, but I spent 90 minutes on the road to pick up the truck. I would rethink that for next time. Also Dispatch documented the wrong dates for pick up and drop off.

Trailer had sawdust or something in it. It did NOT affect our job but should have been swept out before given to us. The appliance dolly was broken. It had a quick claim sticker next to the place where a weld was no longer functional so I would have thought it would have been taken out of service. The glide belt/mechanism did not work very smoothly.
