I was given a chart so to figure the amount of gas to put in to bring it to what it was prior to leaving and despite figuring wrong and giving an additional 10 gallons of gas extra...it still was a nice thing to have. I think the rental price of $29.95 was reasonable but think .99 per mile is a bit too much. I only get .545 for mileage reimbursement at work and that is dictated by the government. You are nearly double that amount...just saying.

The people that checked me in were very bland and didn't smile at all and just kind of unprofessional. I work in customer service and as soon as a customer walks in I great them with a smile and a hello. This did not happen. I walked up to a very dull hello and never once got a smile.

Ensure that there is available space for returning vehicles during normal business hours. Reduce the waiting time for returning vehicles by having a staff member available to process the paperwork. It took over 30 minutes just to return a van. This is unacceptable.

Staff was friendly and helpful at the time of rental and pickup. They suggested an alternate drop off which was less expensive. We were very pleased with the service and the truck appeared to be new. Would use them and U-Haul again.

Quick pick up experience, bad drop off experience.While it was my fault I didn't realize there was a separate place outside to drop off, I waited in line for a half hour for some guy to make me leave and go around the building. It would have been nice if the pick up who gave me the keys told me that in the beginning.

Multiple customers in line had reservations on-line then had to complete basically the same paperwork in person. Streamline your paperwork/computer transactions to eliminate the need for both. Would reduce your back-up at open.

Rented 5 years ago VERY BAD EXPERIENCE . Called and reserved rental with written confirmed reservation. Upon rental return , the manager WAS A MAJOR JERK. When I had someone return the unit, Jerk refused to honor written rate and said we owed more money and that he would not honor rate , we must pay more because he said so and refused to accept check for full quoted amount per written reservation. I had to take off work the next day, which cost me money , and go to your grand river store location. He did take our check after much bull shirt. So five years ago, he took our check, uhaul cashed it, and DID NOT mark the account paid in full. Left the account (Bruce P???????) still owing $56.00 as if I never paid anything and I was never notified. BUT IT WAS CASHED FOR THAT AMOUNT! Did not even know there was a possible problem. There should have been no Problem as you cashed it . Rent this week , CONTINUED VERY BAD EXPERIENCE Made a phone reservation with confirmation in written. E-mail confirmation tells me to speed up check in , please fill out paperwork via e-mail , show written completed check in form and check is done and quick out the door process. I get to the store and Katrina says I have to fill out the paperwork all over again anyway for security reasons. I ASK WHY would I take the time to e-file the complete paperwork If I would have to do it all again , does not make sense, DAAAAA! Takes about 30 minutes and form is complete. OH NO < there is a problem with your account , we cannot rent to you as you owe $56.00 from 5 years ago. Bull Shirt, if there was a problem with my account , why would you even take a pre-registered phone contract. Nothing was said to me ! Why would I take off work to go get the rental unit if you would not rent to me. Why would I spend time filling out another rental contract if u-haul is not going to rent to me. Katrina said I could call the 800 number to check it out . I WASSS PISSED. I said no , you find out what the problem is as we had a cashed check from 5 years ago , completing the written contract and paid in full. She bounced around the computer and said it looked like it was paid. I WILL NOT AGAIN waste my time which is costing me money taking time off work to work with another jerk like 5 years ago when I have a written, cost defined reservation contract. WE attempted to pay then in full and I had to take work off the next day to return to your store to get someone to take the correct amount . I WILL NOT take 30 or 40 minutes to check in and have someone tell I cannot rent due to an alleged problem from 5 years ago . The rental was good , but the service as noted was stupid. You can't tell me in this day and age, you cash a check and apply it to my account and still leave an unpaid note on the account. I would like you to comp me for my 45 minutes off work 5 years ago and the 45 minutes this time for trouble . Odd , you want to be per written contract , but it's OK it cost me money bey
