Uhaul corporate reservations are useless wanted me to pay double and drive 40 miles from this site. Canceled and got a trailer for half price. Corporate stinks.

Was unhappy that my pick up location was changed without being notified adding miles to my trip. I had to ask for the difference in miles being added. If location is changed the mileage difference should included into ageeed price that was set at time of rental. The person that was working was fantastic. Very helpful and explained everything he was doing to help our situation.

The computer was not working well so there was a delay, which was no problem at all; however, it turns out that the "4:00 pm" estimated pick up time was delayed because of the computer-related issues. So the actual time was 4:33 p.m. Then Adam had to hook up the trailer. So by the time I actually pulled out of the lot it was almost 5:00 pm. Therefore, the 24 hour period should have not started until then. But to confirm that, I immediately called customer service and had a very nice conversation with customer service who said no problem. In fact, on Sunday at around 11:30, customer service called me as I was on route to Lake Geneva and said again, if I was past 5:00 pm, it was no problem and just check in the trailer. Turns out, I arrived on lot in Lake Geneva at 4:30. Billy at the mobile was gone for the day, so I figured out where to put the trailer, took time to listen to the video and uploaded the pics in 20 mins. Once I was on the lot, though, I did not consider myself on a deadline anymore for goodness sake! Regardless, it was done before 5 pm. Further, as I clicked through, the balance said 00.00. My husband can verify this.... yet, the next morning, someone charged me for an extra day. I am not happy with UHaul at all. I would like to know which location was responsible for it.

The people were friendly, helpful and great to work with. Best Uhaul I have used. Between my son and I we have used this location twice in last two months and the experience has been great in both instances. My daughter also used this location in October and her experience was outstanding as she needed help with a trailer and service was excellent.

Unknown to us, we were mistakenly given(from an out of town dealer) an "in town only" truck for a long distance one way trip. When we attempted to return it to Nelsons, we were told it was a "one way only" and was not supposed to have been rented to us. The gentleman from Nelsons immediately got on the phone to UHaul and asked them how to handle it. UHaul told them that we had to drive it back 200 miles to where we had picked it up. Nelsons hung up and called their UHaul representative, explained the problem clearly and concisely and was told I would be getting a call within 3 days. The call came with in 30 minutes. The issue was quickly and fairly resolved. Kudos to both Nelsons and UHaul.

The shop where I dropped the equipment was great. The problem was the debacle that was getting the equipment. I was made to drive 100 miles one way, in order to pick up the equipment I thought I reserved 3.5 weeks before hand at the place a block from my house. Turns out, according to the rude, not very helpful customer service rep, that when making a reservation it is only a “request” for said equipment. They called me less than 24 hours before my move and gave me a smaller truck and informed me I would be picking up my not big enough truck in one location. And the car hauler in another location. I was told that they were the only places that had the equipment within 75 miles. However, the mileage I would have put on driving around getting this equipment and then back to my home, would have totaled over 250 miles. Not to mention I would have needed to get a ride. After much frustration I asked the customer service rep to please find a location where the 2 were together. Grudgingly she did so. I had to drive 100 miles to pick up the equipment. Then haul my car back as well. Insert extra gas expense here. As if this wasn't enough, because the truck was too small, I was unable to pack all of my belongings. I now have to go back when I can find time to pick up the rest of my stuff. I should have hired a moving company. I would have saved money and not had the hassle. This was ridiculous to say the least. This is not the way to do business. Absolutely ridiculous. Moving is stressful enough and this was horrible. BEWARE! YOUR RESERVATION IS NOT A RESERVATION!!!!
