The rating seems worse than the experience. The staff was good, checking the brake/parking/signal lights and showing me how/when to check the hitch, but the place seemed crowded with cars, trucks, trailers, etc. I want to note that on the trailer the major lights worked (brakes, rear parking, and turn signal), but there were two side lights that did not, the left front one and the right rear one.

Monthly I rent the cargo van and do the same amount of miles each month. However, this month the van used twice as much fuel than in all the previous months . Maybe something is wrong with the fuel gauge!

Easy to get to off of Route 9, as I was moving from Chelsea Ridge. It was tough to find a spot to park in the lot at Wits / I wasn’t sure where to park while running in to get the keys. The lady behind the desk didn’t seem to be in a good mood, but whatever, just picking up a rental truck I guess!

It was upsetting that I rented 2 vans for the same day. One under my name Marci Gray and one under my husbands Jose Medina. We made 2 trips from our apartment in fishkill to our new home in Southbury CT. The Uhaul place charged my husband for 50 more miles which was impossible since we both drove the same mileage. when I brought this up to them they did not agree and it is a flat out innacuracy because we followed each other back and forth all day so the mileage is the same.

I'm so upset we were charged an extra day, when we returned the truck less than 24 hours that we had. Now we have to go through the process of requesting our money back. This is a huge inconvenience and it's our money. Very disappointed at the end. Also, the drop off was crowded with other businesses in the lot. Didn't know where to park the truck and trailer.

My vehicle did not have the correct electrical connection. (A "flat four") It had a round 6. The place did not have an adapter to lend or sell me. They just tied off the electrical and let me leave without working lights. They said this would be OK. I did not think it was OK and drove to an auto parts store and bought an adapter.

I was satisfied with the service I received at Wits Auto Repair. The equipment was as expected and the service was satisfactory. I was very dissatisfied, however, with my online U-Haul experience of reserving a truck and changing my reservation. U-Haul confirms in an email a reservation with a local agent but does not list a telephone number. Why not? It sends a link to a reservation number but does not allow access to the information without opening an account with U-Haul. In an update, it changed my local agent without warning so that I had to call both agents to find out which one had my reservation. Calling U-Haul itself was an exercise in frustration, with long holds while waiting for a representative. If the point of the online process is to facilitate reservations, U-Haul needs to devote some time, care and attention to its website and processes.

Trailer lights did not work properly. I was told by the Uhaul agent that it was my vehicle causing the issue. He continued to work on the trailer light for approximately 30 minutes and managed to ge them to work somewhat. I had my vehicle checked out by a professional, my wiring was found to be working fine. Trailer lights worked intermittently when they wanted to but from different controls all the while my signal, brake, emergency lights & headlights worked fine. I was also charged $40.00 more than what Uhaul quoted to me. I was told by the agent secretary that Uhaul gave me the wrong quote. NEVER again wil I use UHAUL. NEVER AGAIN!!

I recently had a bad experience at the Poughkeepsie location. Wit's was the complete opposite... excellent experience! The owner stayed after hours to arrange the truck that I rented . The staff was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. The starting contract matched the mileage and fuel tank readings in the truck. There was no waiting and the staff made sure I was happy. This location should serve as a training location. Everything was perfect! I will definitely rent from them again.
