CYNTHIA WThey recommended the insurance, no they require the insurance. At first I was upset, but they really just are looking out for their customers. Regular insurance doesn’t cover a box trailer unless you have specific coverage on your policy. They explained this to me and I double checked with my insurance and if we would have had any issue, it would not have been covered and we would have to pay out of pocket. It was a holiday weekend with a lot of traffic, thankfully nothing happened, but I was grateful for the advise. They also went so far as to save us money by suggesting we keep the trailer for our return trip and U-Haul gave us a discount and it was much cheaper than alternatives. Thanks so much for a seamless rental and all the suggestions.
