This is the third U-Haul I’ve rented and every location has the rentals gas tanks on EMPTY. There’s no gas in any of the rentals. I had to rush to gas station stressed that I may not make it. I don’t live in Fresno and do not know where nearest gas station was. It’s a big inconvenience and terrible to have those rentals on zero miles. Put gas in them before you rent them out.
VERONICA RWhile it probably wasn’t their fault, the gas tank had been siphoned and was on empty. I had to drive to a gas station, on empty, not knowing if I would stall out or not. I was alone and it wasn’t much fun. I was told by the nice young woman that I would get a reimbursement for the gas if I brought it back above “empty”. Of course I did, but was not reimbursed anything. This was after the original reservation being cancelled in my home town 45 miles away. The whole process up front was a mess but the truck worked well and drop off was easy.
