How U-Haul Reviews WorkI picked up a toy hauler trailer from this location. The gas station attendant didn’t have a computer so he had to do everything on his phone, and I had to sign on his phone while he held it in his hand. He was very nice, but he asked me if I wanted the safe tow insurance for $8 and I specifically told him no. When I got out to the trailer, it was covered in oil and a bunch of grease had slung from inside the wheel hubs onto the wheels. The trailer just looked really dirty, but that’s fine. I just needed to tow my vehicle. My reservation was for 6 PM pick up, but I got there a little early and we were filling out the paperwork at 5:15 PM. The attendant asked if I wanted to drop it off at 3:30 PM and I said no put it down for 5:15 PM so I can have the full 24 hours. I moved to heaven and earth to get that trailer back on time, and I had it there at about 4 PM. When I went inside to tell the attendant I had dropped the trailer off, I asked if he was going to give me a receipt and check the trailer in and he just said he would do it later. I thought that was a little funny, but I was in a massive hurry to get the pickup truck dropped back off at the rental place. A day passes and I don’t get any receipt, so I thought he might be trying to pull a fast one. I dropped the trailer off on Friday, and on Sunday I get a receipt on the email that charges me for two days, of course. And also for the safe tow insurance that I told him I did not want, totaling an additional $16. I had to call U-Haul and dispute the charge, I’m hoping to get my money back. Stay away from this location, it’s obvious what this guy was trying to do. I don’t know if he was hoping I wouldn’t notice or what.
