They were great in terms of staff, however they didn't have an utility dolly available that we had reserved online. They sent us to a central location and gave us extra miles for that, however the central location on McEver road was backed up with only one person working there and we didn't want to burn more of our time with the truck with standing around there so we ended up leaving without a dolly. Also we had reserved at a different location and ended up being routed to this location 20+ miles away.

Dropped off after hours, site contact was a little rude with the other business I called earlier in the morning before U Haul employees on site so Oakwood Tire associate rather short with me

First off U-Haul had to change my pick up from an actually uhaul to a neighborhood dealer. I did the express check in the day before thinking it would be quicker but it still took 40 min from the time I got there to actually leaving. The truck and trailer were not hooked up and none of the dollies or blankets are ready. Then they couldn’t get the truck and trailer into there parking lot and they had to leave and pull two u-turns to get the truck to me. Once I got it home it and started to load, it was pouring rain and the inside of the truck started leaking water. Then frantically trying to make sure all of our belongings weren’t going to be ruined I was duct taping rags to each of the leaky spots. There were a total of 6 different leaks. The drive with the truck and trailer were fine but when I got to the drop point which was another neighborhood dealer the employee didn’t know how to unload our car off the auto transport. Still unpacking our stuff and seeing the damage done from the leaky truck, we still don’t know the extent of the damage.

The representatives at the location were kind and courteous. That being said, they needed to make sure all the equipment on the trailer was in working order prior to our arrival and subsequential hook-up. The whole ordeal by the time all was said and done cost us 2 hours of precious packing time.

Not as fast as some u-hauls I have used but definitely acceptable.

The guy who came to hook up the lights was young and had no idea how to hook them up or what he was talking about. I told him something was wrong with the much older trailers lights, not mine, but he would not listen. Finally he got someone else who came out, and agreed with me and sent me to get the newer version from the front of the store. I hooked this up myself before he got back out with paperwork. Need to make sure their workers understand and do not argue with clients. The manager should have been gotten much sooner when I stated the problem.

Moving parts, like hold down ratchets, require lubrication to function properly. Explanation of 'surge' brakes, as well as the other features of the auto transport would have been helpful.

Confusion over location and hours wad due to website. Uhaul website is a royal pain in the arse.

This place gets a maybe. I had a truck set for a place a mile away. The truck was not there (Alabama I was told). I try to swap the rental to this place and the guy says it will be 30-45 min to swap it over. Or he could recreate the rental. So no big deal as long as price is the same. I get a higher rate $35 more and a truck on empty. The truck smelled like a greasy tire shop too. Now I get to call Uhaul to get a refund.

The mechanism for the front tire tie downs on the Auto carrier were rusted and very hard to release. A little WD40 now and then would help.
