I made a reservation in Olney md. I was told that is where I would get the truck. Thursday pm prior to my Sat rental, I was told I had to go to gaithersburg to get a truck- not fair at that late notice- cost me $20 more in miles and I had no option at that late date...Not Nice for you to make a change that late and leave me hanging....Also had issues with the gas amount after returning...Lost that discussion also....

The condition of the equipment needed IMMEDIATE ATTENTION which was provided by the Office Staff in a very professional way. We were very fairly compensated for having to return a truck that was infested with roaches. The Snouffer School Road U-Haul location staff was excellent to work with.

This was the worse experience with uhaul that I've ever had. I arrived at 6:48p to drop off a truck. The representative was on his cell phone and did not acknowledge us until I asked if he would be the one helping us. He stated yes, and asked were we sure we should be dropping off at that location. He stated that the reason he is asking was due to the fact that if the location down the street had a reservation for the truck, then we would be charged for them taking the truck "down the street". He asked me to show him the contract. I went to my car and retrieved my cell phone, the representative went back to being on his. He would not start the process of checking in until I showed him the text. When I showed it to him, and confirmed that this was the correct location, he started the check-in process. He told me that he would charge me extra for the gas because it was right under a quarter of a tank. I said okay, there was nothing I could do, but my sister called and reminded me that the gas gauge was was almost on e when we picked up the truck and wanted to send me screen shots. I informed him of this, and said my sister is sending me a text about the gas level at the time of pick up. While I was waiting for the text, the employee went inside, and left the truck running. I waited for him to return and after a while went to go inside but the door was locked. He stood there at the counter, then came to the door speaking at me through the glass, stating that the location was closed! I couldn't believe it! I said to him, you were just talking to us! What do you mean you are closed? He said that I could drop the keys in the drop box. There was nothing that he could do they were closed. After I insisted that he come back out and talk to me and finish the process, he came out again and said "well you waited for a text, so you didn't want me to charge you, and we close at 7." "Do you want me to charge you now?" My mother and husband was there and advised for me to contact corporate after completing the transaction. It was a horrible experience! The employee wasted time initially by being on his cell phone, would acknowledge us until I said something to him, and then when 7pm hit he stopped speaking to us and went in and closed the door? He completed the transaction and printed my receipt. His name was Jose Blanco (the name on the receipt). But I did not see his actual ID, or ask his name. He appeared to be a middle aged Latino man wearing a hat, and uniform. I appreciate your attention regarding this matter.

Worst experience ever. Not only did the price change after requesting the uhaul online, but the lock for the back was broken. Also the after having to buy my own expensive lock at 10 pm, they charged me for a complete other day because I was 2 hours late! Lastly no one there was on the same page with anyone else that works there. One manager told me something, then the next time I go four days later the other manager on duty told me something completely different! Worst Uhaul business in town. Managers don't even care about you as the customer.

Checking out the trailer was fast! Jose quickly and cheerfully helped me hitch the trailer, and he checked to make sure everything was working properly. Check in was quick and easy to. This experience could not have been better!

I reserved a truck that was within closer proximity to me at another location but was sent to this location and couldn't be given a discount on mileage charges. Feel like I got hustled and happy with that factor. Otherwise I got what I needed done.

The rental drop off location made me clean up the inside of the van from dirt that was already present in the van from the pick up site. It wasn't clean when I picked up the truck, and no one even looked at the truck with me.

Hard to start the truck after it had been turned off. The wheel would lock and needed extra strength to release it in order to turn the key in the ignition.

The truck had bald tires. The truck was ancient and borderline dangerous. The district manager was at the location when I picked up the truck and he was a major tool. The whole experience was horrifying except for the woman named Lee who went out of her way for me. I hope I never, ever have to do it again. It was horrifying.

This is not the friendliest group on the planet. They seemed to not particularly like working with customers and finding creative solutions for them. It was more this is the way it is take it or leave it. You do have competition in the business. I saw customers "leave it" when I was there. In addition picking a drop off store that will not be open for two days os NOT cool as I required assistance. I was threatened with additional charges when I wanted to change to a location that was open.
