Due to a clerical error on management's part, my trip was registered as an in-town trip as opposed to a one way trip. When we attempted to return the truck, the manager at the returning store in Garland, TX on Walnut stated that he would charge me double in order to accept the keys. He then said that customer service is the only one who could change the charges to a one-way trip. When I contacted customer service, the initial woman I spoke with listened to my situation for about 2 minutes before placing me on hold in complete silence for 15 minutes. When I hung up and called again, I told the following rep that she did not have permission to put me on hold for any length of time during the conversation. I reexplained my situation to this rep, who stated that a case was open and that "customer service has done everything we can." When I explained to the rep how that gave me absolutely no information and told her to explain to me in detail the contents of the report and the exact steps she had taken to help resolve my situation, she began yelling and talking over me throughout the remainder of the conversation. She then told me that it would take 72 hours for my case to be reviewed and resolved, and when I told her that I revoke my permission for my card to be charged until after that 72 hour period and my issues had been addressed, she began yelling again and telling me how they were going to charge it anyway and I couldn't do anything to stop it. When I said that I refused to accept to be charged double for an error that management approved and asked to speak to her supervisor, she continued to cut me off mid sentence saying that her boss had no power to do anything either. I told her that I still wanted to speak with a manager, and she hung up on me. According to your hotline, the entire conversation was recorded, so if you care about customer service at all, which seems doubtful based on the openly hostile and disinterested demeanor of your current employees, you can listen to the conversation for yourself. Frankly, I will openly and publicly encourage my friends, family, and any stranger I ever encounter in person or on the internet that burning their posessions would be preferable to doing business with your company. Your staff is incompetent, uncaring, inflexible, and cruel, and your finacial policies are a complete scam.I hope you go bankrupt and all your employees are laid off and then forced to use a competing moving company who treats you just as kindly as you've treated me.

I was rather frustrated about picking up the uhaul. I was supposed to pick it up, pick up a riding mower, go to a doctor's appointment on the way home, and then go home (an hour and a half drive). First, they changed the pickup location, and I didn't realize it so I went to the preferred pick up location in my email. The guy had called me so I was able to figure it out. I just hadn't realized the switch of location which wasn't a big deal, but it took extra time I didn't really have. When I got there, they had to fix the wires/lights on the trailer. The guy who was fixing equipment was fabulous, he knew what he was doing and did a great job. Except I had to wait a while which I wasn't happy about since I was on a schedule and already late. Then when he said I could go, I loaded the car onto the trailer, and the ratchet didn't work. I had to go back and tell them it was broken, and by that time, I had to leave for my appointment. The guy who had worked the counter tried to tell me I couldn't leave the truck and trailer and go to the appointment since I had already checked them out, but considering it was broken, I couldn't take it. He tried to tell me to take the truck - but taking the truck up to Richardson for a cardiology appointment and LEAVING my car because the trailer was broken is just plain stupid. That's using gas and mileage for a doctor's appointment instead of driving my perfectly good car. Not to mention I did NOT have the opportunity to pick up the mower before my appointment. So instead of a smooth pick up uhaul, pick up mower, go to doctor's appointment on the way home, then go home... I had to fight uhaul all morning, go to doctor's appointment, come BACK to Garland to pick up the truck and trailer, THEN go get the mower and go home during rush hour. My daughter was home alone, and I got home hours later than I was supposed to. I was not happy. On the up side, when I came back for the truck/trailer, it was fixed, and I was good to go without any wait.

Had to sign for " full fuel" and then was given ability to look at truck, we only had 3/4 of a tank not full. We ran over our time for Sunday drop off, wasn't made aware of night drop box for keys and was charged an extra day because NO ONE told us about night drop box until next day. Paid extra for gas that wasn't full and an extra day because we weren't told about a night drop box. We finished right at closing time but no one answered phone to see if there was a night drop box. Get a call the next day and was asked when we will drop off truck, I asked about night drop box and was told I would be charged for extra day, didn't answer about night drop box. Arrive at store and cashier is providing details to customer ahead of me about night drop box. Why didn't the last 2 employees tell me? Why did I pay for an extra day when I didn't need to?

we dropped a trailer off after hours...the only thing I would have liked would of been a confirmation phone call letting us know that they had received the trailer and that it was returned and no issues were found.

This was the worst experience of my life! The manager was rude, impatient and did not explain any of the paperwork to me. He didn't pull the truck around, or even show me to my truck. He didn't show me where the night drop box was, or fully explain the night drop process. I had to call customer service 4 times to make sure I was doing everything correctly. There was absolutely no customer service and when I let him no I was unhappy with my experience, he shrugged his shoulders at me and rolled his eyes. He was having a bad day because their computers were down, but instead of saying that, he was rude. Because of him, I will never use uhaul again.

Allowed mileage wasn't updated with the change of location so i was charged for the mileage between the original location i reserved my truck and the new location i had to pick up at. The staff at this location took the charges off of my bill. The manager's name at this location is Ricky. He runs a great business. He wasn't even there when i dropped off but his staff are trained well and they are a good reflection of him and the business he runs.

I returned the Cargo Van last night. Although it was a few minutes after closing time, the agent named ERIC took the time to check the Van and accept it. That was extremely helpful to me, since I would not be able to drive back the Garland today. I appreciate this service.

truck leaked and ruined a new mattress and box spring When i checked truck out by "Rick", the fuel was at 5/8 full instead of 3/4, so Rick changed and initialed my copy. When I turned truck in, it had 5/8 tank, but I was still charged $5.95. When trying to contact uhaul at 972-272-4323, I was transferred 2 times to people that couldn't help me, hung up on 3 times, and was on hold a total of 40 minutes. I give up. this experience was a total disaster.
