We set everything online 2 day $29.95 Rental per day added Safe mode for $25 our bill online showed $125 total plus $.099 per mile. We used 42 miles but ended up owing $202. We ended bring the truck back in one day and a half. This company is a ripoff. Will never use them again. We also added $35 Gas for 42 mile usage tgey told us it had to be 1/2 tank but wasn't even at a 1/2 tank when we received it.

Upon arriving at the garland uhaul location on Saturday my husband and I were presented with our 26 foot uhaul. My husband took his seat in the drivers position ready to begin a challenging day of moving. He placed the key in the ignition and turned it to hear a deafening sound of silence. The truck would not start. We were then assured that they would be able to give the truck a quick jumpstart and it would start right up. Since we were moving our things in to a storage area over an hour away from the location the thought of breaking down half an hour away from the uhaul facility on a day were rain and storms were nothing short of a guarantee did not sound the least bit appealing to us. We decided to instead request another truck on the lot. Our reasoning seemed to baffle the employee assisting us but still we were brought an alternative option. The replacement truck looked as though it was the sole surviving vehicle in a recent apocalyptic scenario we must have been aware of but running behind as we were we took pictures of the trucks battered condition and made due. We would later come to learn that the truck had apparently not survived an unknown apocalyptic universe as we thought but rather seemed to have been emerged in a body of water as there were puddles in the doors and console of the truck as well as unexplainably the gas tank. We were able to fit our things in the truck and thanks to the help of many helping hands were able to complete our move earlier than our requested time frame. So in the now dark of night we began our travels back to the garland uhaul destination to return our vehicle to its home. This would be the scene of yet another conundrum. Since the store was closed we followed online instructions for a “swift” after hours truck return. Much to my husband disappointment the confirmation code copied straight from a confirmation email sent from uhaul could not be recognized. Blaming the problem on his outdated version of a common apple product I retrieved my superior device and tried yet again. Yes, the superiority of my newer bigger better device reigned supreme as the confirmation code was finally accepted. I continued on to the next screen where I was then informed my location could not be determined by the uhaul website. I verified my location setting refreshed the page and crossed my fingers. But, it was all in vein. I decided to call the customer service line for some much needed assistance. I was informed that the person on the other end of the phone was a not in my service area but would be more than happy to transfer us threw to someone that was. So there we sat in the parking lot of a deserted uhaul at night in Garland Texas. For those of you that are familiar with Garland or for those of you have seen the movie zombie land you can imagine what an uncomfortable experience this can be. After the first ten minutes of a less than soothing uhaul hold message my husband decided to call the customer service line from his
