The reservation was completely messed up. Wrong truck, no dolly, telling us we have to bring it all the way back when we clearly have in the reservation that it’s being dropped in a different province. The guy was not nice. He gave us a truck that was still dirty and said “the last people didn’t clean it..do you want me to sweep the back?” Which was insane..clearly yes he e shouldn’t have to clean it. There was a bowl with old food in it under the Driver’s seat and the gas was at 1/4 tank. Oh, and when we finally dropped it off at the agreed location, the guy tried to say we couldn’t drop it off there. All around, a horrendous experience for an already very stressful moving day.

The van was delivered to us in unclean condition and was not ready for hire. The representative, who seemed very agitated, blamed this on the previous customers, but that is not an excuse: the van should be ready at the time agreed. Then, two weeks after we had returned the van to the correct location (in Kingston ON), we discovered that someone (we do not know who, but the U-Haul customer service centre told us that it must be someone from the regional office or location) had changed the online information and charged us extra for not returning the van to Gatineau! We have the documentation (contract / receipt) to prove that we returned the van where we agreed to and the U-Haul customer service centre agrees with us. The U-Haul customer service agent tried to get the Gatineau region / local office to deal with the problem, but the Area Field Manager who called us claimed he couldn't do anything and that someone else would call. Another two weeks later and no-one has! We have made an online complaint, and we are now pursuing this with our Credit Card company. We do not trust this location and would not recommend it to anyone.

MONIQUE MI talked to someone for giving me a code to get key who is not helpful. He doesn’t want to explain me how to get key. The service of that person is very poor. Il manque la capacité d’écoute.
