I was a bit intimidated by the self check-in and return process. However, the app is well thought out and very user friendly. The whole process was great.

I picked up the vehicle during a quick bout of rain. The vehicle I rented was parked on a hill facing downwards and the representative told me to bring it back with a full tank (since it was full). As soon as I got into the vehicle, I noticed it wasn't quite full (just a hair under), then while driving away (with the vehicle level) I noticed the fuel gauge was still (although even less) close to full. There was a bucket lid in the rear of the u-haul, and crumbs strewn about the cab in front. The vehicle's braking system felt mushy and bogged steering down, but that may be a characteristic of the brake booster in that particular GM vehicle. Although the office was in an awkward location offset from a storage facility, the staff was although hard of hearing, he was friendly. There seemed to be an issue with "the system" as the gentleman called it forcing me to use a credit card instead of my debit card as planned. Basically make sure things are clean, and do a walk around before and after (if possible) with the customer (sun, rain, or shine).

The experience was ruined at the end. The trailer tongue weight is too much for one person to lift. You need jacks on them like on a boat. I was stuck at the Uhaul location for 1-2 hours since they were closed and nobody picked up on the Uhaul roadside assistance since I was on hold twice for 20 min before losing the cell connection line. While the owner/manager of the place was absolutely fantastic the issue was with Uhaul as a company not having jacks on the trailer to lift it off the hitch. I was lucky someone else was dropping off a van finally and was nice enough to help me lift it off the hitch since it was lifting up my car when I tried to lift it or leverage it off with lumber I found. It stinks you don't ask more questions on your survey as you'll think this was a great rating and it shouldn't be in terms of "was our specific product equipment easy to use so you'd recommend it to a friend" is the question to ask as the answer would be no or a "poor" rating even though the trailer was clean and worked great but had the issue of I was about to have to leave with it and have you come get it at no cost to me before I had to drive to the city for work since your "help assistance" line doesn't get answered. Ridiculous. And HORRIBLE roadside assistance since your lines don't ever get answered should have been another question you ask.

There seems to be a limited supply of choices at this site, and their hours are not the best for picking up and dropping off vehicles. But the personnel there was very pleasant and accommodating. It was actually easier to use than some larger sites I have used in the past.

Although we have always had excellent service here, twice we have reserved a cargo van online and twice we have had to take a box truck because there was no van available. Is there a way to update the web site in real time?

I would highly recommend that someone from corporate visit this location. It is disgusting and totally disorganized. It is full of crap and a side businesses totally unrelated to Uhaul with actual Uhaul product strewn about, the disgusting store. If we walked into this office, we would not have thought it was a Uhaul building, rather a junk store. Personally I would like a refund of half my order to make me even think that Uhaul cares the least bit about ANY of this.

I reserved a 10' truck a month or so ago to move during the busy Labor Day weekend. I had a morning reservation, but was delayed packing so didn't get to the facility until early afternoon. I called and left a message around lunch time saying I was going to be late. When I arrived the facility had rented out my truck. There was still a van available so I used that for my move. Because of the smaller size I needed to take two trips which doubled my mileage charge. Luckily non of my furniture was too large to fit in the van. If there was an issue with holding my reservation the facility could have called me to see if I was still coming.

The vehicle was due for an oil change, but everything seemed fine. I did have a mishap in my long day of moving. The right side mirror was broken while I was driving along a city street. I left a note in the box with my phone number so that Mark could call me. I had returned after hours and.I did not see the email about checking in on line until the next morning. I called Mark around 10:45a the next day. He was a bit rude about the broken mirror and that I had not called in earlier. Perhaps he had not found my note. Just saying, I bet mirrors getting bumped is common and I certainly was taking responsibility. Mark is not the most personable guy, but if I need a van again I probably will use him again. This is the second time I have rented from him.
