Fill up the trucks. Because the truck had just over 1/4 tank when I began the day I had to do one extra fuel up. I also had to plan to return the truck at 1/4 tank which was a pain in the butt. Also, buy vehicles with digital dashboards or at least ones with bigger KM/H markings. I had no idea what speed I was driving because everything was in Miles/Hour. Also, too expensive. Way too expensive.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a customer with renting anything. From the day I made the reservation to the morning that I picked it up, I had multiple phone calls from the Area Manager Joe. There were issues with the dates I had reserved it for. We finally figured out something that worked for both sides. Which meant I had to bring it back a day earlier than I had wanted, and would be rushed. But could make it work as I was so desperate for this size unit. Joe even called me the night before as someone had changed my reservation in the computer to something other than Joe and I had agreed on. No idea who or why. The morning I went to pick up the truck, I was informed that the price was double the amount I was shown on the website when I booked it as it was now a one way instead of in town, even though I wasn’t leaving town. This doesn’t make sense. At this point, I have no other options except to pay it, as it is the morning I am moving and I don’t have time to figure anything else out. The lady at the dealer told me someone from traffic was supposed to call me and inform me of the price change, but no one did. Joe didn’t even mention it when he called me the night before. So I pay it and tell them I’m not happy and this isn’t the stress I need today. The gentleman who took me out to the truck was super nice and totally understood where I was coming from. We did the walk around and then he carried on with his day, but didn’t warn me that the speedometer was in MPH and not KMH. The truck I had is high mileage which is fine, but there were multiple lights on in the dash and the brakes were super soft and not very responsive. The truck did roll multiple times while we were unloading. With it in park and the parking brake set. I ended up blocking the wheels and it didn’t move after that. The truck needs to be serviced. And you need better way to deal with reservations and proper pricing. I will never be using Uhaul again because this was an incredibly stressful situation in an already stressful time. The whole point of renting a Uhaul was to relieve stress, not add to it.

I had major issues with the computer system. It took well over 1.5hra for app to work. It changed my credit card 3 times totaling almost a $1000 dollars and it’s still not back on my card. I had to pay with debit and even that took forever. I would recommend the service because the lady was super nice and tried to help, but the online ordeal will make me think twice before using u-haul again. Some sort of reparations would make me happy. If nothing can be done, please contact me.

You can make sure the truck is actually available when we need it. We had a truck reserved FOUR TIMES. THREE of those were GUARANTEED TRUCKS. We reserved them approximately 2-3 weeks in advance and it was listed as available. However, two days before pick up, we were notified it was not available, but that we could have a truck that couldn't be guaranteed until the following morning. I called and found out that one was also NOT available, but that we could have one GUARANTEED for the next afternoon at 4:15 pm. That morning I recieved a call saying the client that had that one would not be bringing it back and that one as well was not available. As this was the last day of the month, we had to get an extention from our landlords for 2 extra days of rent, and I had to commute for an additional 3 days. This means that U-Haul LITERALLY cost us over $500.00 in rent and gas that we would not have had to pay at all, as there were NO OTHER TRUCKS available within a 500 kilometer radius. We were compensated $50.00, which did not even BEGIN to cover what we had to spend because U-Haul did not have a guaranteed truck for us, that they PROMISED they would have. This has been an absolutely horrible experience, and if U-Haul would truly like to make it right, management staff can call us at 780-533-2686 and offer us compensation for the horrible service we experienced.

Previous user didn’t fill with fuel and I had to replace fuel which was below a 1/4 tank however I made sure to fill to 1/4 tank as requested by the store and was told that no I had not in fact filled it that level. I was told If I did this I would get a credit instead I got to fill up the uhaul truck to a 1/4 tank and didn’t get the credit. Which meant I paid for the fuel in that truck 3 times basically. I won’t ever use that dealership again. There was also the matter no one told me that I had to pay with a credit card so I had to borrow one. What’s the point of paying for all the extra insurances and putting gas in the truck if your gonna be charged for it anyway. The truck that should have cost me only $50 plus about $10 in fuel cost me $77 plus $20 in fuel plus extra for miles I appantly used. I have everything marked down. If you use this place make sure you bring a credit card or your not getting your truck and make sure you take pictures write everything down. Side note they don’t walk through the truck with you. I’ve rented u haul many times and this is the first time I’ve been wronged. The other place in town is so much better and easy to work with.

The location is not the issue. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The outside of the U-Haul was dirty which is minor in the given weather. The tires on the U-Haul were completely bald which is NOT SAFE during our winter conditions in Northern Alberta. The trailer nearly flipped the truck and trailer when the trailer caught ice and pulled the truck into what could have been a fatal situation. If there were proper tires on the trailer with tread this would not have happened. Thankfully we are very experienced in these conditions whereas a newer or less experienced driver would not have been able to correct this and likely would have gone off the side of the cliff. These tires need replacement PRIOR TO FURTHER RENTALS. This is EXTREMELY disheartening and dangerous. Stud the tires for winter or get proper winter trailer tires. DO NOT run bald tires in the middle of winter.

Actually supply them with the 26’ moving van not substitute with a shorter one and trailer. This was quite inconvenient as we needed to detach the trailer to load the truck. Also we couldn’t fit all our furniture due to the shorter truck, I didn’t have the option to pull an extra trailer as we already had one so as a result we had to leave behind a like new queen bed and box spring! A table and chairs and other miscellaneous items.

I was not called when they decided to downgrade me from a 5' x 9' enclosed trailer. I needed it for my house hold and kitchen belongings. I lost $300 worth of food and all my clothes are muddy and wet. I had to wash my house hold belongings because of the road grim getting all over the load. I had to buy a $30 tarp and bag my belongings and the water, mud, and snow still got in. This cost me alot of money that I can't afford as I'm a student with no job. You can improve by not renting out equipment people have booked out to walk ins so when people book a cube van in advance they are able to get when they ordered.

I almost died/caused a terrible accident leaving grand prairie to grande cache due to lack of maintaining washer fluid , something imperative on northern snowy, salted, and sanded roads. The sand gets sprayed on up from other vehicles. It was -20 so I couldnt use snow even it would have instantly frosted. Used it four times and I ran out. Not happy at all, most dangerous drive on ice and snow and that happened. Not cool.
