The Van clearly says $19.99 a Day. We were charged $79.00 per day... Plus Mileage. From $20 to $150!! WOW!!!

The person who did our reservation was very nice, courteous and helpful. It's really that simple. And that goes for both the customer and the person behind the counter.

Overall what's done is done, if I could do it over again I probably would not. I would find another source to move. I rented a truck on Friday for 24 hours to be returned on Saturday by 330, I wasn't able to get it back in time so I I accepted the charge of 2995 for a Nother 24 hour. No big deal at this point my total bill should have been a few dollars give or take of 100. Well it turns out they don't do return vehicles on Sunday so I'm automatically now logged into a three day rental and slowly my rates which should have originally been around $100 is now up to $249 dollars. I ended up returning the U-Haul at the end of the day on my third day in because it was in the evening just by chance the local gas station unnamed in the area was closed but I didn't consider it to be a big deal because I was only about 3 gallons under where I should've been for returning the truck. Well it turns out that they were using a provided calculator that determines how much fuel the truck should have gotten to meet the requirements for return. There calculator tells them I need 13 gallons at 4:25 a gallon to bring it up to where it needs to be. On top of that, because it was a hair under a quarter tank which should not matter where the pin is on the gage, I also added an extra $30 fee because the pin was below a quarter tank. Does it really make a difference where the pin sits on the gauge? The point is if I am under the amount I should be at then charge me for that and that is it, why is there an extra charge just because it's under a certain mark on the gauge? Overall I'm grateful to be able to move my things when I needed to call though if I could do it again knowing what I know now I would not use you all again. A month ago my wife and I rented a U-Haul in Clearlake California and did a one-way three day rental to Medford Oregon, our grand total for that rental was $116 with free mileage provided and they let us use a appliance dolly for free we were in and out of there with our rental truck in five minutes no joke. I don't know if each location operates differently or if they follow a formula but I feel like I was taken to the cleaners on this current rental. I have nothing bad to say about the people operating they were fairly professional and kind, but I would not recommend renting a U-Haul to anyone I know either. On another note, our Clearlake rental saved us a bunch of money and were courteous to us so much so that they credited us $40 for returning the truck early because someone else needed that truck and for some reason which we still aren't aware of we also received on top of the 40, and extra $60 check so that's $100 in savings right there. It seems like they were giving us money back to make sure we were happy and we truly were. On this current rental I feel they were trying to give us any additional fees and charges that they could.

Charged for a missing uhual that wasn't missing. Taking forever to get the refund. You should really just pay people back when you are the ones who made the mistake. We spent some $800 at uhual. And it took me 4 separate phone calls just to make sure the logistics of our trip were accurate. Spent to much time and money to feel this disrespected as a customer.
