Did not check information when i called to update me of changes since i had reserved different size truck at a different location.....not great customer service....i had to call different number

After doing express check-in online, I still had to give them all the info all over again. THEY ASKED ME TO HOOK UP THE TRAILER! Since the hitch is a different system than my personal trailer, I wasn't familiar with it. I will NEVER use this place again.

This location was poorly equipped, not customer friendly, and 1 hour from my point of departure. After contacting U-Haul to address these concerns, I was told that this was OK.

Given that I picked the equipment up at 10am on the day after Christmas and that I failed to complete the information in advance, I am sure my experience was unusual. I was told if I needed the truck and dollies longer, just return when I finished. Apparently Cypress self storage had a reservation for the equipment although I had not returned it. They called and asked me if I was bringing it back ... twice. It would have been better if the people at the rental pickup location had told me that this might happen. I could have called Cypress self storage and told them I would be late returning the equipment.

We had to walk across the street and get the truck and then hook it up to a tow dolly ourselves, with no one to help. There was no wire harness for the trailer lights so my husband had to walk back to the location to get one.

the location of the trailers and trucks is not convenient for customers. the trailers were on a cracked pavement and gravel incline with other trailers and large equipment all around them so it was very difficult to get a vehicle in to hook and unhook the trailer. the staff did not offer to help with getting everything set up. we had to go back in and ask for help. we rented a truck from the same location a few weeks ago. the rental process was very slow both times. the people are nice; just not overly helpful. they don't seem to want to come out from behind their counter for anything.

I had a 26' truck reserved for 07-11-15. I made this reservation on 06-29-15. I received 3 e-mails confirming this reservation. I also called 4 times to make sure I could get the truck. On 07-10-15 I received a call from Uhaul asking me if I would take a 20' truck because a man from B'ham needed a 26' truck. I said absolutely not because I was moving my 90 yr. old motherfrom 3br & full basement. The rep said ok. When I got to the pickup location not only was there not a 26' truck but a 17 & 20' truck available. I was told that I could not have the 20' truck & had to take the 17' with trailer. I was very inconvenienced & angry. I had to hire 2 men with a pickup & utility trailer. I also had to go back the ext day because I couldn't get it all on that 17' truck. I am very displeased & considering ligation. My daughter-in-law is an attorney & encouraging me to do so. The only positive note is that Renee at Fayette Ag (dropoff location) was professional and helpful. I would rate her a 10 & Uhaul a minus 10!!! My ph # is 205-932-7192 or 205-270-8826.I would never recommend UHAUL TO ANYONE!!

The Haul company it self should update there system. I was told to drop off in Infield Alabama and they don't even have a uhauk compsny anymore (so 2 hours and gas WASTED) Finally got in touch with a lady and she let us drop off in Hamilton

I had to wait a long time to get my paperwork done and finally left before she was finished with her call to Uhaul. She was the only person there in a very busy gas station and it really wasn't her fault. Had to help unhook the trailer so I could leave.

When the equipment and dolly was not ready or clean. The customer service reps were rude to my wife.

the truck had not been swept out. there was broken glass in the back and artificial leaves. not a big deal. there was confusion with my reservation at first but customer service got everything straightened out. We were only delayed about 45 minutes

Shorten the amount of time it takes to rent the truck.

Your representative was very rude and impersonal when I requested an explanation of charges that I did not incurr. Her statement was that she didn't care what reason I wanted to offer to challenge the overcharges. I did not travel the miles that I was charged for and request a complete audit of the rentals for this vehicle prior to my rental to verify the odometer reading at the end of each rental prior to my contract.

I assume because you have an almost assured monopoly, your business model allows conducting business based on customer demand and not customer service. First, our reservation made over a week in advance was not honored. Yet, when I went to the local center earlier in the week to purchase more boxes the lot was full. Maybe a good service company would have held vehicles for reservations made for that week. Oh no, that would make for good business practices. Nothing like showing up for a flight or hotel room and none are available. Seems like the reservation concept used by hotels and airlines would apply to a truck rental company that accepts reservations, but apparently not with a near monopoly. The most amazing thing was the representative calls to let me know the evening before that the 26’ truck was unavailable at the requested location and offers a 15’ cargo van. Yea, that holds the same capacity. Yes, there was a model requested available over 100 miles away. This means 200 miles of travel in a personal vehicle that would not have been available for reimbursement as an added cost to the customer nor been discounted from the cost of the rental. After four customers service representatives are spoken with, there is a smaller truck within 60 miles that was available. Good, now that means two trips for what was intended to be a one way trip. You would have thought there might have been some allowances for the failure to honor a reservation but no. When picking up the smaller truck we made it clear that we now needed the truck for an additional day. No problem, but failed to modify the contract appropriately so the receiving location in calling the next day expecting a return. Then they call the following day, with a really bad attitude expecting the truck to be delivered. After three days of bad customer service, I explained that an emergency on the dealer’s part did not constitute an emergency on my part. Every customer service representative and independent dealer we dealt with had a real disregard for customer service, was not accommodating in any way, and I can assume is the way the Uhaul Corporate Model had changed. When I worked for a Uhaul Service Center many years ago, customer service was important. I will choose another rental provider in my future move in six months. I guess monopolies rule.

The equipment was kept in a gravel lot across the street from the office. The office was part of a convenience store/gas station where the clerk was doing double duty with no help. She was great and helpful, but I had to find the trailer myself and hook it up by myself. No problem until I went to connect the electrical wiring. It was too short. When I went back to the clerk, she didn't know what to do and turned me over to the mechanics in the auto shop. They treated me like I was an inconvenience. One of them finally told me to just take an extension off one of the other trailers.

Your U-Haul staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. If I have to move again I would definately use Watha's and certainly would recommend Watha's for anyone else moving.

the gentelman there Told us we had to pay a $100 deposit because we were paying with cash and that uhaul should have told us about it before hand but when we checked out it was the same price i expected from the reservation receipt i had. He said is must have already been included in the total. However, when i made the reservation online i had to use my credit cardin thr first place to process the reservations. I just felt like this location was not sure of how the process really worked when making reservations through the uhaul website.
