I had reserved a van at a location about 1 mile from my house and at the last minute prior to the weekend they switched it to a location about 1/2 hour away from my house. I had no choice at that point. Besides paying extra miles due to the distance the vehicle was not available until 10am that day vs. 8:30am as in my confirmed reservation. Very disappointing on all fronts with the rental reservation process.

The truck was a rotation truck and that was not mentioned to me until I picked the truck up. When I reserved the truck online, the drop off location section said “optional” which led me to believe I could drop it off at any Uhaul location. However, I was rudely informed that I had to drive the truck back from West Chester to Harleysville, which doubled the miles and increased the cost greatly. I will now be using Penske from now on.

I spent double the money and spent double the time due to the lack of availability for a trailer which was supposedly there when I reserved it...

This pickup location opened at 9, and called us to let us know that we would have to pick up after 9am (our original pickup time was 8:30 am but we did not get our preferred pickup location, due to not having the equipment available there, which is fine). We got a call from U-haul (not the pickup location, but the company) and a not so nice voicemail about being late for our pickup and that our apt time was 8:30 and our reservation would be cancelled if we did not pick it up within 20 minutes of that phone call. Not very friendly customer service, especially considering we were in contact with the pickup location and had it all set up. Just really surprised by that voicemail. Suggestion: The U-haul call center should touch base with pickup locations and find out info before calling customers, when they do not know the situation. Other than the voicemail message being unpleasant, our experience was AWESOME. Love U-haul and will continue to use in the future. Thank you.

Customer service was not the best. The fuel was reported at the wrong level and it was assumed to be my fault. Pictures proved me right. The truck was dirty and no seat belt was available for a passenger. I probably won't rent from this location again.

I originally requested to pick up truck and trailer in Colmar PA. Two days prior to pick up date the very nice gentleman from Daniels called and said that trailer was at his location. Meaning I would have to pick up truck at one location and trailer at another. This location was not close to my location, actually 15 miles further way. While talking to him he advised that he has a truck also and gave me the 800 number to call and see if I could change reservation to get everything at one location. When I called the 800 number for customer service I got nothing close to service. Rachel was the rudest, most unhelpful person one could ask for. She was adamant that there was not a truck at the same location of the trailer. I advised her that I just got off the phone with the location operator and he said there was. I basically had to ask her to call and find out. Whether she made the call or not I don’t know but she said that she could get through. I asked her to try again and get the reservation fixed and Calle back. Four hours later I called the very nice gentleman at Daniels and he said that she never called and had put his regional manager on the phone and he had to call to get reservation switched to pick up at one location. What is customer service for if they are not going to help the customer? On the day of pick up it was found that the trailer had a nail in the tire. I again was lucky enough to be able to talk to Rachel again for customer assistance. She would not allow the trailer to go out with the nail and at the time of that call said it would be 90 minutes for someone to respond to repair tire. I told her I was already under a time crunch because I had to go an extra 15 miles further out of my way to get this truck and trailer. I was not loading the trailer until I got home and asked if they could just respond to my location to fix the tire. She refused this request. I asked if there was another trailer I could just get and according the the lovely Rachel there was not anything close. So I had to pick up truck only and return when the trailer was ready to go. By the time I got back to my loading location with the truck only Rachel called to advise that a repairman was dispatched to fix the tire and would be 90 minutes. I asked why another 90 when she told me it would have been 90 minutes 30 minutes before? No answer! I work in a customer service industry. If I where to treat or talk to a customer the way Rachel did I would be out of a job. A very large part of customer service is doing what you can to make the customer happy. Rachel failed to do that. When something happens and things do happen a customer service person goes out of their way to do what ever they can to lessen the inconvenience for the customer! Rachel didn’t even attempt to do that. The most she offered was a $50 discount. As I said I was on a time crunch and because of the delays it created a 90 delay in me leaving on time which caused the entire trip to be

The location opens at 9:00 AM and I scheduled my pick up at 9:15 AM to give them some time to get settled. This timing worked well. The trucks are parked and organized well, it was very ease to identify the location and pull out or in the truck
