I reserved a 26 ft truck for a local move. When I arrived it was explained to me that they only had a 20 ft truck. The attendant explained that it was a large truck that I should be able to fit everything in one trip. I explained to her that I was moving a 2400 sq ft house and I didn't think 1 trip would work. I ended up having to make 3 trips and had to keep the truck for 5 hours over my reservation. Due to the fact I had to keep it for the extra time I was charged an extra $39 for the truck, $7 for the dolly, and $14 for safemove. Due to the store not having the truck I requested, I expended extra time and energy with a 3rd trip, and had to pay an extra $60 for it. The truck cab was not clean, had food and trash on the floor board, and had a bad odor. I have used Uhaul for my last 4 moves, but after this experience I will not use it, or recommend it to anyone again.

The wiring harness was damaged and someone just tried to tape it up. When I cut my lights on it blew two fuses on my truck and I had to buy $60.00 worth of magnetic lights and fuses for $3.00 to get moving. I then had to reword the trailer connection with a new plug for 10.00. For a 600.00 rental I expected more. If you would like to contact me my number is 252-314-0076 jay leonard

I was sent to a different location that was rude and disrespectful and refused to take my trailer . I drove over 60 miles just to get my trailer dropped off. But friendly pawn was very helpful

Even though our preferred pick-up location was 20 miles away the folks at this location were of great assistance. The pick-up location was a combination of 2 addresses...a problem w/u-haul software?....it was overall a good experience. Thanks!

I am annoyed I can't get open trailers. Most of the time, closed trailers are not the right size for what I am picking up.

I was lied to by the customer service representative at this location. I informed her that I might have to drop my trailer off earlier than my expected date due to military obligations. I asked if I would get reimbursed the difference in price if I dropped it off earlier and she told me I would. I ended up having to drop the trailer off early like I suspected and I was informed that I would NOT receive any sort of refund. I don't understand how I'm having to pay for something that I'm not using. Terrible experience.

Make sure that the furniture pads are washed prior to pick-up. I got a bag of pads that were wet and smelled. Another bag was not folded, like they weren't cleaned prior to issue.

Your U-Haul payment system seems to have a lot of glitches. Customers should not have to return to the location to pay because your systems fails. They should also not have to wait for 30 minutes to pay because your system fails.

We were told that the truck we rented was inspected and was good to go for an almost 3,000 mile ride however two hours into driving the truck the battery died and we had to delay our trip because we had to wait for the repair tech to come out and change the battery. We got back on the road and ten hours into driving a check engine light for the oil came up. I checked the oil levels and discovered that there was barely any oil in the truck and whatever was in there was coming out black. I called customer service and they told me that I could add the recommended oil and see if that fixed it. I bought the oils which cost me money that was not in my budget for this trip. However the light stayed on the dash even after putting in the oil therefore I had to delay my trip again to wait for the technician to come out and look at it further. The technician came out and got the light to go off and sent us on our way. The truck's alignment was off and I had a hard time with the staring wheel to the point that I even had to buy gloves just to prevent the skin burns that I was getting from having to grip the wheel so tightly to keep it straight. When I returned the auto transport the guys in California told me that the tires on it were all worn out and no one should have let us leave with those tires. I realized then that the worn out tires were the cause of the excessive drifting of the auto transport so that I had to hold on to the staring wheel really tightly so that the truck wouldn't drift with the trailer....on top of the truck's steering wheel being really loose because it is out of alignment. It is indeed a miracle that we made it this far with that truck because the guys in California also told me that there was no coolant in the truck which could've caused the engine to erupt. Our lives were put at stake because of carelessness. We were caused to delay our trip and miss very important appointments because of all the roadside assistance and I have severe burns on my hands from driving that vehicle. I am not very happy about this experience and expect better from a company such as UHaul. I am hoping to be reimbursed for the oil I had to buy and also for the inconvenience and the fact that our lives were put at risk driving a faulty vehicle.

This location wa s great but the location I was supposed to pick the equipment up at (Jacksonville, NC) did not have the trailer I requested. I had to drive an hour to this location and an hour back to Jacksonville to load the truck. This would not have been such a big deal had I not spoken numerous times with the people at the Jacksonville location and they did not mention once that the trailer was not at that location. I drove six hours to get to Jacksonville and could have picked it up along the way had he told me.
