When I called this location to reserve the trailer, I was told that it was a "flat rate" of $308. and that I could use it for 6 days. I told him that I only needed the trailer for half of that time. Still had to pay same for 6. Also when asked if I wanted "safe tow" insurance for additional $71 told the rep no, as my own insurance would cover it. After leaving, I then found that this was wrapped into the $308 vs me paying what should have been $237 apparently. Also I do not agree at all with making a customer pay for days they KNOW they do not need.

Doreen from Billings Montana called me (after speaking to multiple agents due to my reservation not being available and the company over charging me and not following through with the agreement made by them trying to correct their error) from a 406-545-2595 and was extremely rude and I will do my best to never use UHAUL again and it its all for one reason, the way she spoke to me. I have also shared my experience with everyone I know who have similar stories, I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service Doreen failed to provide.

AS many customers are not familiar with the trucks, it would be helful to have a manual. for example the trurning on the lights was rather hard to figure out - he radion was hard fro my son to decipeher and the gages are notthe norm for many vehicles. It would help to at least check the driver out ob the basics of where the various switchesm gages etc are to be found and operated.

We were told as long as we returned the trailer before Monday morning there would be no extra charge. We made it quite clear that we would NOT be in Helena before 1:00 PM on Sunday.

The staff identified that they "do not work for UHaul" when I asked for assistance in loading my car and making sure it was properly and safely installed on the trailer for the journey. However, when I explained that I was traveling alone with my daughter and not familiar with how to complete the process, two of the gentlemen provided the necessary service very willingly.

We purchased a TV box for $19.95. When we picked the box up, it contained no styrofoam, which the bax says is included inside. I paid roughly $20 for a large piece of cardboard, which I needed to buy other materials to compensate for the missing styrofoam. The TV box purchase was not cost effective, and if I would have known the situation, it would have never been purchased. I would recommend all pre-purchased customer equipment be checked, inspected, and re-checked prior to pick-up by the customer.

I have ZERO complaints about the service at the rental place- Uhaul, however should figure out how to get vehicles equipped for Montana into Montana. We had to pull the vehicle to get it into the driveway as well as to get it out of it. That is simply ridiculous! If you claim to have vehicles equipped for Montana winters, you should have them equipped for Montana winters with actual tires! It’s a good thing that no one ended up injured because of Uhauls lack of preparation.

Had an overall great experience with Dean! He was very helpful for getting the truck ready to go. I did end up with a few problems with the truck. I drove from Montana to California; half way through Nevada I hit a snow storm, and I'm not sure if the wipers were old, but they were only clearing the top 2-3 inches of the windshield of ice, so I had to drive for about 100 miles with very low visibility on 2 lane windy roads.. The high beam indicator also stopped turning on. I couldn't tell if it was just the indicator, or if it was affecting the high beams, but second night of the trip I could only see about 3 dotted lines (maybe 20-30 feet) ahead of the vehicle on very dark roads. So if you're planning to head through the snow or drive at night through the desert, those are 2 things I'd check before you go. :D

Make sure the truck is clean and the windshield is clean so the renter does not have to clean it before using it. Make sure your equipment is ready for use so the customer does not have to wait to pick it up when he is ready to pick it up. The persons in Owasso OK were very pleasant to work with. It was not his fault that the fuzz was blown on the truck he had to pick up from another location.
