The best way to describe A&K Power Equipment is it is functional. However, the people there really could be a little more warm in their dealing with customers. For an example, they do not allow customer to park their cars due to space limitation. However, instead of reminding people during the check-in process of this fact, a person caught us on our way out with the truck. She claims there was a big sign to this fact, I went back looking for the sign and didn't find it. A better way of handling this would start with "I am sorry we should have told you that ..." But overall, the truck worked fine.

Poor customer service. Also the district manager when he says he is going to call you back with in a certain time frame he doesn't. A week later I am still waiting for a call back. This same thing happened two years ago and I can't remember what the issue was that I was waiting on the call back two years ago now and that is what they are counting on. You forget. I can't find his number to call him back and his name now this time.

Good overall experience. I do not like the way the tech dressed the safety chains on the trailer. He wrapped the excess chain around the trailer which would preclude the break away safety brake chain from actuating in the event of a trailer separation.

This location was not the planned drop off. One way rental PROBLEM - the original drop off location in REDONDO BEACH CA would not take the return. Of course this was not known until we tried to drop off. Total BS and waste of time as it could have been sorted out at time of rental. I got the feeling the drop off didn't want to deal with it.

When someone tells you when they are returning, give them the correct information. It’s my fault as well because I just looked at the time and not the date. The rate was one price, when I returned it was something different. I was clear when giving the information to the counter person, but somehow everything got mixed up. I received a call from u haul and said I needed to be back at a time I didn’t even pick the equipment up at. All in all this was a bad experience. Some of it my fault for not reading my contract thoroughly

On Thursday, May 31, 2018, I ordered a 15 foot truck to rent for the entire day Friday, June 1, 2018. I ordered this rental via the telephone, at telephone number 310-978-8052, which is a telephone number I received off a previous rental receipt.and I spoke with a woman and she gave me a confirmation number. When I arrived at the 4525 West Rosecrans Avenue, Hawthorne, CA 90250 rental location on Friday, June 1, 2018, at approximately at 8:30 AM, the woman that works at the rental counter told me I had to have the truck back by 4:00 PM and if I did not, they were going to fine me $50.00, this was after a half hour debate about whether I really ordered the truck and she stated that she had no record of who I spoke with but she did have the confirmation number but said when I attempted to express check-in via the internet, I had messed the entire reservation and confirmation up. I explained to her that I had difficulty with the internet check-in process because the internet program was not accepting much of the information. I attempted to input, including the pick-up and drop-off time but I had previously ordered the rental truck via the phone and we had confirmed those details. By utilizing the express check-in I was attempting to streamline the rental process at this location because this particular woman is always extremely slow and always rude. and I thought that express check-in might rectify that or at least mitigate that situation. The woman that checked me in, which is the same woman that usually checks me in, was extremely rude, unprofessional and actually downright nasty. Not only was this entire process a complete nightmare and took almost an entire hour, I was charged for a 24 hour period when I ended up having the rental truck less than 8 hours because of the length of time I spent defending the fact that I had made a reservation and that I was only attempting to simplify things by utilizing the express check-in. Again, I am completely dissatisfied with the service I obtained at this facility and I have rented from this same facility many times in the past and she is always rude and impatient but today the entire experience was totally intolerable and completely unprofessional. I would really like to hear from someone in the Customer Service Department at U-Haul Corporate. Thank you for your time, consideration and cooperation in this matter. The burden of liability could potentially fall upon the customer if there is no secure drop box. I left the keys in an unlocked drop box and parked the vehicle across the street as instructed. Anyone could have stuck there hand in the drop box and I would have been charged?

I would like to recognize a gentleman named Vincent at this location. He was so nice. He took the time to give wonderful customer service and really had humanized thr experience vs going to a cookie cutter place and being rushed through the process and only saying things that are required. I don’t plan on moving again anytime soon, but will recommend this location because of Vincent.
