When dropping off equipment, don't expect to deal with anyone in person. However at the U-Haul window there is a phone number for the owner/operator, call her and she will come and verify equipment. I have returned trucks and trailers to this location multiple times no problem.
I have rented the same size trailer twice. Service was great . Dealer was great. No issues...

This goes out the Jackson, Ms area: if you're not sure that equipment is available for reservation, don't give out that information to the customer. I was very upset that I found out one day before my actual pickup date, there weren't any trailers in the area. I should've known that when I made my reservation by phone days before.
Have your employees stay at work. Very frustrating when you have to wait for someone. We even had a scheduled pick up time and nobody was there
The entire reservation process was a goat rope. After making the reservations weeks in advance, U-Haul waited until less that 12 hours from the start of the move to start informing me that there were problems. The representative at the pick-up location was polite enough but does NOT know how to do her job. After a lot of double talk and excuses as to why she could not be present when I picked up the truck she tried to change my reservation to a "self checkout" and screwed it up causing me a lot of frustration and valuable time on moving day. So much for the U-Haul promise of "skipping the line" after "checking-in" on line. The pick-up location also informed me at the last minute that she had not utility dollies at her location. How in the heck does a U-Haul rental place NOT have something as basic as a dolly? Point being, I had to jump through even more hoops and waste more time and gas going to a different location to get the equipment I needed. Special thanks to John Manning Jr for his help in getting everything sorted out and getting me on the road. The "self-checkout" process is a total pain in the A** and seems to be nothing more than an excuse for employees to not show up for work. If the customers have to do the work of your employees by renting equipment to themselves then why do you need employees and why are there no discounts for the hassle? I don't expect a moving truck to run and ride like a sports car but the front end of the truck I used shook so bad at highway speeds the pedometer on my phone thought I was walking and showed that I had walked 148 miles the day I moved. This truck was not safe and could have caused an accident if operated by someone with less experience of driving large vehicles.
I would have rated this place 5 stars if my truck was clean when I picked it up, but it wasn't. I had a scheduling problem with what I wanted and this place had a truck available for me. The lady was very courteous when she called me as well as in person when we showed up to pick the vehicle up, just a very peasant lady who tried her best to get us what we needed to get on our way. Overall, the transaction was very smooth and I have no complaints except a dirty truck.

Even though the location was excellent and the owner was very nice and friendly, the experience with the UHaul people could be described as confusing and misleading, and maybe even complete mistrust with what I was told. I was told one thing, and then another. Anything to get my business was the name of the game...Well I needed the trailer, and I was already going to rent it or I would never have called in the first place. So why the lies? Stop lying and just tell the truth...thats all...just stop misleading the customers. Stop saying one thing on the phone, and doing another when I get to the pickup. Terrible business model. I will try Ryder next time to see how they do business.

After driving 20 minutes out of the way, there was no one available at this location and there was no contact information. After staying on the phone for about 45 minutes (talking to 4 to 5 different people), I finally found someone who would complete my contract over the phone. Very FRUSTRATING!
