Nothing is clear on how to retrieve the rental from the app and there was no help on site at 10:30 am when I went to pick up the rental. On top of it, there is awful cell service, so it was very hard to pick up the rental via app.

I was charged a credit card fee of over 4 dollars which i was not told ahead of time Which i consider a sham I intend to file a legal complaint with the state soon

The cab smelled like cigarettes. The window was plastered with dead bugs, you could barely see. The cab inside was dirty. Had to clean the seats, spray, and scrub the windshield. Both mirrors were filthy and had to be scrubbed clean to see.


First time tried Mobile Pick Up. It was a terrible experience.

Firstly, I scheduled my Uhaul rental over one week prior to my rental pickup. I was moving my apartment the next day and I only had that day to rent this vehicle HOWEVER Uhaul sent me a casual text saying that my rental was CANCELLED due to availability. THE DAY BEFORE MY RENTAL. I called the number U-haul provided me... I spoke with a representative who basically told me that there was no vehicles possible to be rented within the ENTIRE Tri-State area and offered zero apology and EXTREMELY RUDE. I couldn't believe the customer experience I went through, but it only got worse from there. Luckily, the Representative was completely incorrect and I easily found a singular truck over 60 miles away near my parents house in Bethpage, NY. (I was moving out of Jersey City, NJ)... the fun doesn't end here. Due to the short notice, time was of the essence and I had to pick up the vehicle at the very opening of the business day at the location. The only employee working the store showed up 40 MINUTES LATE. There was a giant line of angry customers waiting for his arrival. He acted very nonchalantly and offered ZERO apology. I will very unlikely be renting from ANY U-Haul location EVER AGAIN. I will take my business to more local rental groups. This experience was completely insane and EXTREMELY unprofessional. Jesus freaking Christ....

The employee opening the store the date of return was late to open the store by almost 40 mins. There was a line of 6 people waiting on him to open. He pulled up with headphones on and walked out on his cellphone texting not acknowledging any of the people waiting, no apology, nothing. Then had his earphones in while taking care of customers and was on his cellphone. Will never use this location again.

Employee there at drop off had a line of people, air pods in ear, and kept tapping them off when it was the guests turn to speak. The feeling of not being prioritized over music is dissatisfying. Employees should not have AirPods in ear when having conversations with guests, it's rude.

Location did not have a full compliment to be able to rent trailer. Additionally I had to leave and come back after purchasing what uhaul lacked. Equipment was barely operational and I had to actually fix it to make it useable. Several other things but never again with uhaul.


truck was filthy, smelled like cigarettes, employee was not wearing a mask. extremely dangerous

I thought I left the fuel at the same level that it was at when I picked it up. I put in $20 of gas, drove I believe 80 miles. Why is there an additional fuse charge on this receipt? Other than that, everything was perfect.

Unlike previous U-Haul debacles in which my reservations weren't held to what a “reservation” actually means, Shameka at Bethpage U-Haul had ten equipment I reserved and even accommodated my arriving early. I will continue to use Bethpage U-Hail and only Bethpage U-Haul. Aside from Shameka and her faculty, I've had nothing but poor experiences at multiple locations secondary to unprofessionalism and poor inventory.

Had to wait since there was only one staff member. Was handed keys and that was that. Returned the truck early told to leave keys in truck and left. No issues

I was charged an extra day of rental. I dropped off the trailer before my expected due time but no employee was on site and they had posted a sign that they would not be back for 2 hours from when I had arrived. I left the trailer on site, right in front of the service door. So, if the employee had come back to work that day (this was around 12:15pm) he would have seen the trailer returned on the day it was supposed to be returned. His return time on the note was 1:15pm and I was supposed to return it by 1:00pm. Impossible to even return on time, given his note. This does not seem right and I believe I was overcharged.

Picked up truck they ur app. In middle of process, UHaul attendant came running out to say I can't have the truck the app assigned me because he just gave it to someone else. Told me I had to request another truck through the app and I should have come inside rather than going thru app. Told him UHaul system should have not allowed him to issue a truck while it issues it to me. Told him I couldn't do thru the app and he had to reverse what he had done and issue the truck to me. Usually have a great experience at this location but this attendant had a bad attitude trying to make me think it was my fault.
