The guy inside Hawaii Collision is not friendly. I know that he is not the U- haul employee, but i think he is related to your U-haul in business.
THANH TThe parking location is uncovered on a grassy area, when it’s raining the area becomes muddy. Taking of pictures is required for pick up and return. This means the area around the vehicle needs to be cleared. I needed to move the vehicle to the white line on the roadway in order to capture a complete side view of vehicle. This process causes muddy footprints in vehicle. Returning requires photo of mileage and fuel gauge. Parking in a clear and clean area for pictures. Then moving vehicle to the parking location is not possible, for fear of mileage discrepancies. Ten feet to the rear of the vehicle, parking location has signs of homeless behind the K-rail concrete barriers. Wouldn’t recommend pickup or returning after dark or alone.I mentioned this because pictures of the rear and cargo area of the vehicle are needed, while your back is facing the K-rail. The main side mirrors are clamped in place. I wasn’t able to rotate horizontally, without collapsing outboard support arms. Tilting mirrors work allowing to see top rear corners and bottom bumpers. Rear camera on rear view mirror pretty much sucked. I liked that all the glass was clean/clear, AC was cold and the cab smelled ok. What I didn’t like was the side mirrors. I would rent again at the same location.

Michelle KFor a first time user this may be a confusing setup. There is no customer service on site. For people who are not familiar with mobile apps they may have a hard time. Checking in can take about 10-15 minutes or more depending on how long it takes for your information to be verified. The truck was surprisingly smooth running and low miles. The truck wasn't very clean I had to sweep out the back because it was dirty and I didnt want to track dirt in my new house. Other than that it was a breeze. Alos checking out did take me some time to navigate through the app but overall was a decent experience. I would say the reason why this location won't recieve high ratings is just the lack of physical customer service and confusion surrounding the overall pick up. Having to walk into the business and being told they don't have anything to do with uhaul is kind of a gut punch feeling. Especially when it's marked Hawaii Collision as the location so its not like you would know they aren't affiliated.
