For a first time user this may be a confusing setup. There is no customer service on site. For people who are not familiar with mobile apps they may have a hard time. Checking in can take about 10-15 minutes or more depending on how long it takes for your information to be verified. The truck was surprisingly smooth running and low miles. The truck wasn't very clean I had to sweep out the back because it was dirty and I didnt want to track dirt in my new house. Other than that it was a breeze. Alos checking out did take me some time to navigate through the app but overall was a decent experience. I would say the reason why this location won't recieve high ratings is just the lack of physical customer service and confusion surrounding the overall pick up. Having to walk into the business and being told they don't have anything to do with uhaul is kind of a gut punch feeling. Especially when it's marked Hawaii Collision as the location so its not like you would know they aren't affiliated.

It was mobile pickup. My card was charged, I got the lock box code, opened the lock box and there was no key. I checked inside the van (it was unlocked), there was no key. When I called customer service they sent me somewhere in the lower 48 and they were unable to locate an area manager or someone who could assist. I was told I was getting refunded. However, my car was still charged and the app showed I still had the van. This was a complete waste of my day and I had to go and rent a pickup truck which was significantly smaller from Budget rental cars since no one else on the island rents out moving vans or trucks. Horrible program. This was the worst experience I had with uhaul. The van was full of cobwebs and dirty inside and out. Rusty wheels too.
Warren EWhen picking up vehicle was unable to check in via the uhaul app due to the pick up location only allowing remote check-ins; was transferred by customer service to the regional manager to complete check in, was given code to lock box, however due to not being able to use app to check in was not given the opportunity to upload photos to verify initial odometer reading, which did not match reading as stated in contract. Therefore, upon returning rental the mileage I was charged was more than what I actually drove by 71 miles! I made sure to track my mileage via my timeline in google maps to verify, and sure enough I drove 158 miles, but was charged for 229 miles, and had no way to prove it because of the faulty check in process not allowing me to check in via the app at that pick up location. I hope that this is something that can be corrected to ensure that future customers aren't being overcharged due to not having any way to verify mileage or vehicle condition at onset of rental. I understand that there is no one on site to assist with check in but there has to be a better way to manage the process.
