I am giving Hawaii Collision Center 5 stars, not the overall UHaul experience. Hawaii Collision Center did their job and had the truck ready and clean as promised. The UHaul app was not a 5 star experience. For both pick up and checkout I had to call for support because it was not working properly. I was very frustrated and put off by the whole experience, and as nice as the people assisting were, I will not be using an app based pick up and drop off again. If it means paying a few extra dollars to deal with live people in person, then I am willing to do that. Please fix your app (no continue button for the pick up, and stuck in an infinite loop that kept bouncing between steps 1 and 2 of 5 during check out). I heard the people next to me struggling to return their rental as well. Again HCC 5 stars!!! Live agents on phone 5 stars!!! UHaul app and process 2 stars....

Using the app process is a nightmare. Confirmation emails are useless, telling you the vehicle is ready to pick up, and when you arrive to do the pick up the app gives you a number to call. You call and the rep tells you that the location is closed the day for your scheduled pick up and you can’t get your rental. USE ANOTHER RENTAL COMPANY

THANH TThe parking location is uncovered on a grassy area, when it’s raining the area becomes muddy. Taking of pictures is required for pick up and return. This means the area around the vehicle needs to be cleared. I needed to move the vehicle to the white line on the roadway in order to capture a complete side view of vehicle. This process causes muddy footprints in vehicle. Returning requires photo of mileage and fuel gauge. Parking in a clear and clean area for pictures. Then moving vehicle to the parking location is not possible, for fear of mileage discrepancies. Ten feet to the rear of the vehicle, parking location has signs of homeless behind the K-rail concrete barriers. Wouldn’t recommend pickup or returning after dark or alone.I mentioned this because pictures of the rear and cargo area of the vehicle are needed, while your back is facing the K-rail. The main side mirrors are clamped in place. I wasn’t able to rotate horizontally, without collapsing outboard support arms. Tilting mirrors work allowing to see top rear corners and bottom bumpers. Rear camera on rear view mirror pretty much sucked. I liked that all the glass was clean/clear, AC was cold and the cab smelled ok. What I didn’t like was the side mirrors. I would rent again at the same location.
