Sent me a text message 24 hours in advance to tell me that the reservation had changed to almost 6 hours after my original reservation time. When I got to the location it was an actual gas station and I asked the attendant about moving help and all she said was â€œâ€˜my part of this is done.â€ I tried to call and got put on hold and transferred endlessly, and when I finally reached someone they didn't listen to anything I said, talked over me, and finally transferred me again. I set up an account online and (after they changed the reservation) I tried to log in and it said â€œno reservation.â€ I suspect they deleted the account because they didn't want me to change anything. I could not check in or out or look at moving help options the entire move. Uhaul will never get another cent from me. I just hope one day they'll be held accountable for their dirty dealings.Nicholas B.

This was not our requested location, but it was still close to our storage pick up destination. We were notified of the change via text the night before, which was fine. Drove from Tuscaloosa and location was tough to find using GPS navigation. We ended up using a couple of u-turns during a very busy time of the day, 8:30 AM. Location was extremely busy with only one employee tasked to manage both the UHaul transaction as well as the Shell customers. The clerk was very helpful, but she needed to call someone on the phone to work out rental. I had checked in online, expecting to only have to pick up keys. Instead, the employee was on the phone for about 15 minutes getting instructions on how to complete the transaction. I reserved a dolly, but it was not in the back of the truck. However, we were not charged for it either. It was so busy, I did not bother going back to the counter asking about it so as not to delay us any longer.Edward S.
There was a communicatipng barrier to start off with but she was very nice. My friend called a head for me and I came from Brookwood to Bham. The original scheme was for me to keep it over night. Yet the young lady asked me when I was bringing it back. Wasn't for certain and told her at 6 so I got back at 8. I. Was charge another fee of 19.95. This was my 3rd time doing business with Uhaul and I'm expecting a credit backCLYDE J.
I returned the van on time and handed the key to the employee behind the counter. He told me I would receive an email receipt. The van remained out on my account for four days. I called U-Haul every day and was told it would be taken care of. The 5 people I spoke with were concerned and did what they could do to fix the issue. Unfortunately they had no authority to actually close the rental. Finally of day 4 after once again calling and holding for over 20 minutes I miraculously received an email receipt a new the van was taken off my account. I will never do business with this Shell Service Station. I will not even purchase gas at this location.JOHN B.
Inflate your trucks' tires so new customers don't have to deal with dashboard warning lights. Don't make customers wait over an hour to pick up a truck because a manager isn't present and does not seem to be in a hurry to help. Very, very poor customer experience.Joseph W.
What I ordered was not there. I was told the day before the location was changed and it still wasn't there. Completely ridiculous that I was told my order would be there and it wasn't. The manager at the gas station was wonderful. The U-Haul side of things was terrible.Luke K.
My experience with this location is fine. However, I was sent there AFTER my original reservation was interrupted . . . I was sent to another location (Mountain Brook) for a 5:30 appointment, but when I arrived, a sign on the door said they left the location at 5:00.MICHAEL F.

This was my first time using Uhaul and they overcharged me nearly double amount shown in the contract. After calling them a dozen of times over more than a week and got into contact with a Uhaul employee, they returned half of the overcharge. I'm still f*** up at the end. What a horrible experience!Minh N.
Clarify the costs ie fuel. I drove with the engine on for max 30 mins total 2 miles and was charged 9$ for fuel. I mean that's just ridiculous. The car was dangerous to drive. I just had to get my queen bed matress and a few boxes to new apartment which is on a height. The u-haul barely made it and couple of times the wheels rotated with it going backwards and the brakes were so bad that at 30 mph you have to start breaking at least 4 to 5 times the distance you normally would. This u-haul was extremely dangerous and I am lucky to not have gotten in an accident or getting the u-haul damaged. The customer service to help set up the account was wonderful and smooth. The app is extremely glitchy though and had to repeat steps multiple times. I had a short notice to get this done but I knowing what I know now, I would think twice before getting u-haul.Mustafa M.

My pick up was at gas station, which they only had one attendant. The person working there told me that she normally does handle the paperwork but she will do her best. It took 35 minutes for her to complete the paperwork while waiting on customers. Not her fault. Make the wait time calling customer service less than a fifteen minute wait.jim B.

This is not the pick up location we requested...two others would have been closer. There was no U-Haul rep on duty when we picked it up and the station attendant was. Or able to help us. Blankets were left on the truck we did not request, there was no dolly which we did request, and I ordeeed a 10 foot truck and it was 15 feet.Teresa L.
We have used U-Haul numerous times over the years and never had a bad experience. However, this past rental was the worst. The truck we had reserved was not ready and we had to wait at least 30 minutes to correct a mistake from the previous client. That would not have been so bad had the agent at the Shell Station not been extremely rude. He was completely unhelpful and very hard to communicate with. The experience put a very bad taste in our mouth about ever using U-Haul again. I rarely complain about bad service but this was not good and felt you should know about this employee.Sharp G.
Trash, Julio was the rep I was supposed to deal with. Instead I dealt with him via a shell station employees cell phone. He didn't provide moving pads which were requested and changed the type of rental originally selected. Will be the last time using Uhaul especially now with all the other great moving companies out there.Christopher W.
