The staff at the Hope location were very helpful and friendly. However, I did have a problem with the communication between the online reservation center and the Hope location. I made the reservation over a month in advance, but just three days prior to pick-up, the Hope location knew nothing of the reservation. Also, I reserved and paid for an appliance dolly online via the uhaul webpage. The Hope location did not have an appliance dolly. I had to drive an extra hour and a half round trip to get the appliance dolly from another location. No compensation was offered for my time or trouble. On a moving day, the last thing a person wants to do is drive out of the way to get equipment that had been reserved a month prior. That is poor customer service.

There was some confusion about the date required, but the owner explained that another customer with the same last name had scheduled too. And, received a call late on Friday afternoon before our move on Saturday stating the the truck size was not available, but the owner did find the right truck. Still caused extra stress on an already stressful day. Also, the price charged was more than the prices quoted due to some strange fee and there was some hassle regarding a waiver to not use your insurance. Made my husband very frustrated.
