I turned in my equipment on time before my due date and i recieved email stating it was not returned when a uhaul rep was the one who removed it from my truck.uhaul rep Failed to turn it in on time in your system. He didnt turn in the equipment in the system till tuesday and i turned the equipment in on sun 11:55am. First time in all the years that this happened but it will be the last.

I had a 8"30am appointment to have a hitch installed. I waited for 5hours before the owner even started putting it on. He had a very poor attitude and could care less about my appointment.

They gave me the truck with NO gas at all... And the guy said that he gave me the gas credit... So when i returned the truck at Beltway 8 and Antoine they toldme that such credit do no apply so they reversed the transaction and they charged me $42.50 any way.. Horible location, just a bunch of kids running the store, i hope somebody do something about it. I work hard to earn my money

General Manager who was working the front desk seemed rude and impatient. I came to pick up a truck for use and he made it seem like I was inconveniencing him. The following day when I dropped off the truck, the sign at the drop off station says to wait for an attendant to meet with me. I waited a few minutes and no one came out. When I went inside it was the same guy just talking with an attendant and there seemed to be no intention of coming outside. The general manager just nodded his head he’s turning for me give the key back and he said very quickly, “we’ll email your receipt.” I apologize for not remembering his name, but I do remember the GM status on his badge. Truck was fine and clean.

I did a 24 hour rental online but the store changed it because they said they don't do 24 hours. So we talked to the manager he said someone else needed that truck and we had to have it back for them. So we did a one way & took it to a different store and kept it for the 24 hours. Never will use this store again.

The rental truck was a death trap. I had to put 7 quarts of oil in it throughout the trip. Almost lost control and went off road as the ballpoints where out of play. The pain I was in from the rough ride and the fighting of the steering wheel was unbearable. Not to mention after 1600 miles all of my furniture was ruined due to the vibration of the truck. All of my furniture was wrapped in blankets and bubble wrap. My outdoor patio set wore right through the bubble wrap and sgredded the aluminum to bits. I had metal shavings all over the place. This was the worst experience I have had the displeasure to endour. I’m not joking when I literally feel like I avoided death in this thing. Will never use U-Haul again.

The person I dealt with when picking up the truck was very nice. When I returned the truck on 10/6/18, I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a very rude and abrupt person. He quickly told me my card was declined (shocked I tell you, plenty of funds in my acct). I called my bank they verified nothing was wrong. Told the guy this and oh how it miraculously went through. I had even told him I had a $62.85 charge/hold showing on my bank acct. so he hands me a receipt. Told me the final balance. I check my bank acct today to discover more being charged. I then found the emailed receipt, compared to the paper one (yes I will admit I folded it up and stuck in my wallet) well he gave me a receipt for someone else. It’s no wonder he was trying to tell me my card declined and then all of a sudden went through. The guy was not pleasant to deal with at all. I hope my normal U-Haul renting place never is without their truck again. I will not rent from Veterans Memorial again.

The gentleman that assisted at the counter was very rude in the beginning. We walked in and I asked him. Sir do you someone on hold? He looked at his phone and said oops I forget... I might of had a customer and just forgot the phn. I said oh you forgot me. I am the one holding and been on hold for 17 mins trying to see if my truck was ready before I arrived. He just blew it off and said Maam how can I help you. Then my husband talked from that point. That is terrible customer service.
