How U-Haul Reviews WorkOnly issue was when I arrived, no one was there and was confusing as to what to do until someone peaked around the corner and said to just leave it where it is now and would check it out in the morning. Which was fine.
Jerel DThe inside counter person was smart-alec and impersonable ... after 10 minutes he finally dropped his guard and became more helpful ... although he continued to raise his voice and seemed aggressive!
kevin dNothing at all besides keep Big Mike Kerr as your main location Manager. I have always had good customer service with him from the first time I rented from Cedar Closet Self Storage. I recommend renting that 2500 cargo van you will not be disappointed
Lewis MI had a positive experience with the truck itself and the check-in/check-out process, but unfortunately, my experience with the employee at this location was extremely disappointing. A week before my move, I called to ask how to add an authorized driver to my reservation and whether any additional steps were required. I never received a callback. As a result, my family and I were left confused about the pickup process. My uncle went to the location to help figure things out and called me while he was there. During the call, the employee opened the door and proceeded to speak to my uncle in an extremely rude, stern, and condescending manner, telling him that everything was on my phone and that I just needed to look at the page. The employee also explained that he had not called me back because my uncle was not an authorized driver and would not be able to pick up the truck. My concern is that I had specifically called a week in advance to clarify the process and ask how to add an authorized driver. Had the employee simply returned my call, we would have had time to make the necessary changes to the reservation, including putting it in my uncle’s name if required. Instead, I was forced to leave in the middle of an already extremely stressful move to resolve an issue that could have been avoided with a simple phone call. The employee’s behavior toward my uncle was completely unnecessary and disrespectful. We were paying customers trying to understand the process, and my uncle was simply trying to help. There was no reason for him to be spoken to that way, especially when the confusion stemmed, in part, from an unanswered call. While I have no complaints about the truck or the check-in/check-out process, the way we were treated has ensured that my family and I will not use this location again. I hope management addresses both the lack of communication and the way customers are treated, because a simple callback and a respectful conversation could have made this experience significantly better.
