Some of the items above are hard to rate fairly because I did an online check in. At the pick up location getting the truck was fairly quick and easy; however, there was no inspection of the truck with me present as in the past when I did not use the online check in, and, after I was on the road with the truck the glove box fell out of the dash and the lower left side panel (next to the drivers left foot) was broke and fell out. That did not cause any problems for me but I was afraid U-Haul might think I broke it. They did not when I explained it at check in. Still, I would have preferred that they knew about it before I drove off with the truck. I also paid for insurance on the truck and when I picked it up the U-Haul guy told me that the upper corners of the "mom's cabinet" (or whatever the the part over the cab is called) was not covered by the insurance. I don't understand why it isn't but that is a minus point for me. I paid the insurance believing that it covered the whole truck. I can't really rate anything inside the drop off facility because I never was inside the building. I drove the truck into the lot and a guy came out and took charge of the truck and told me I had nothing else to do there which made me happy and left. Overall, it was good rental experience except for the broken items that no one told me about (and maybe did not know about) and the insurance thing.

Please ensure that electrical power is available at the power outlet on the rear bumper of the U-Haul moving vehicle. Electrical power was not available for the vehicle tow trailer dolly during the trip from Missouri to Texas. Also please ensure that 3 of the 4 conductors on the 3 foot portable power cable are not severed.

The only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 stars was the 30 minute wait to be helped when picking up the truck. Saturday morning in June, 2 men working and they were doing a great job, but were swamped with people. Need more help.

Hitch was installed incorrectly so I had no lights on the trailer from KC to Dallas. They shorted out as soon as I left the deale. You would have thought a cop would have pulled me over especially since the weather was really bad.I had to spend an extra day in Dallas to get them fixed. However U Haul did pay for 2 nights in nice hotels and my rental fee was refunded. I would not recommend this place for installation, just rentals.

Tried to turn in my trailer to after all the contents inside had been stolen. Wasn't going to drive it all the way to South Carolina empty. The manager couldn't tell me if that was okay for about 20 minutes. Finally told me that if I didn't take it to South Carolina, I wouldn't get any money back. I asked, "Alright, how much money are we talking about getting back?" After looking at a computer blankly for another 10 minutes, his response, "Well it looks like nothing, but it kind of puts us in a bind if you leave it here." Yeah, I just walked out. Thanks for all the help Uhaul. You are truly a top notch organization.

The online reservation system has some problems. Allowed to rent a vehicle in a location that was not going to be open. The system automatically changed the location and didn't send me a notice. Then it changed again and did send me a notice. I called to confirm and the location was very helpful, but the online system kept changing to a location I did not want to pick up from. Was very frustrating and almost cancelled and tried to get something from the Budget dealer right down the street from me. Was not a good experience in terms of reservations. System needs some work!

Do basic maintenance check on trucks before renting. A simple loss battery cable can cause customer to loss valuable time when moving

I did not realize I had to take so many pictures during the online checkout, it was also dark at the time which made it more challenging and tedious. Otherwise great service and nice equipment.
