My truck was having major transmission issues and filthy. After having the truck for 4 hours I received a call from the uhaul coworker that said "I suggest you get this truck back here now because we are reporting it stolen" There was a glitch in uhaul system that showed that truck was not rented but I clearly was given the key and the approval on my phone to get truck. A worker even walked me back to my truck. I did not like being threatened on phone and surely did not like the experience. I have rented from this location many many times with no problems, but this time was a nightmare. For $70.00. That's not how to talk to customers. Also. I really wanted to go unprofessional on the lady that called me but when I got to the location she was just a baby. A very young girl. I explained to her that next time maybe do not threaten the customer on the phone that clearly did NOTHING wrong.

I didn't understand why a relative had to be called. That was a first for me and I am a repeat customer. And I wasn't comfortable with the use of the employees phone to take a picture of my driver's license.

My initial reservation was at a different location. I specifically choose the location based on the available cargo van. The previous renter extended their reservations which affected mine. No other van available. I had to have a van because the particular dump I was going to doesn't allow moving trucks. I wasn't notified prior to going to pick up the rental that my reservations had been changed. The facility tried to give me a 10' truck instead which wouldn't work for what I needed for my situation. The clerk did however get on the phone and find another van somewhat close. By the time this was done, I drive to the new location, wait to be checked in, I'm an hour and a half past my start time. If I had been notified prior by a text or email I could have avoided the time delay and went directly to the new location.

Difficult transaction. Reserved through 800# initially which went very well although the confirmation did not include the insurance which I selected. Called the local several days before to confirm that the cash deposit of $100 was correct as I was told by the 800# rep who took the reservation and was told yes and there would be no problem with my grandson picking up & renting the vehicle since I reserved it for him but wasnâ€™t going to be physically driving or there to pick up. Morning of pickup the rep (I think her name was Letia but was hard to hear her) told my grandson the deposit would be $175 because other people â€œstoleâ€ from their location and there policy had changed. I asked to speak with her on the phone and she talked over me, was rude and when I tried to discuss this with her she handed back the phone to my grandson indicating she would not talk to me because I attempted to discuss the mistake. I told her I was told by Darius that the $100 was acceptable and that the corporate office had also told me this and she basically said the corporate was in Phoenix and had nothing to do with their location. She ultimately agreed to that but very rudely and offensively said I would be responsible for anything happening. I felt she showed very poor communication skills and service. If the local offices are separate and able to extend own policy then I would have appreciated knowing that in advance. However, I really felt most offended by the mannerisms and method by which the representative â€œhandledâ€ my call that morning.

When I called I asked if the U-Haul could be returned at any location. They said yes. So booked the rental. When I got there I was told I had to return to that exact location. This has happened to me every time I rent a U-Haul.

checking in they couldnâ€™t find my reservation and I had just been there a week prior scheduling it. The girl on duty was very rude and told me to leave if I didnâ€™t change my attitude. Of course I was worried there wasnâ€™t a truck since I had people showing up to move in a half hour. The guy had to check me in as a walk-in.

We were not aware that due to the area being bad and others failed to return their trucks we were charged 60miles vs the 20 at most we would need. (We only drove 19 miles & it took $4 to refuel) I have rented from your company numerous times & couldnâ€™t be more disappointed in that ridiculous policy at that location as well as when we returned the truck before the 4th hr not to have the gent verify the miles but to inform us weâ€™d receive the credit to our card in 3-5 days. Horrible customer service.

I rented a storage unit thru uhaul and deeply regret it. Their service is HORRIBLE. They advertise 24 hour access and THAT IS A LIE. I went to the unit Christmas Eve and was "denied access." Another person there was having the same problem. Apparently the jerks at uhaul didn't mention you only get 24 hour access if you PAY AN EXTRA FEE. I was never offered that option. I left the storage unit with NO Christmas decorations and no clothes I desperately need!!!! I WILL NEVER USE THESE LYING, INCOMPETENT JERKS AGAIN. They completely ruined Christmas for me.

I drove from 2 hours out of town to get to this U Haul store for a local in town move. Upon arrival at check in I was told they didn't have the equipment I had reserved and that I "WOULD HAVE TO GO TO ANOTHER NEARBY U HAUL STORE TO GET THE EQUIPMENT I NEEDED". My reservation was "guaranteed" for over a week in advance. I was very upset. I desperately needed the specific equipment I had reserved. I told the clerk "how about if YOU go to the other location to get the equipment I need and have it here as promised? You should have told me ahead of time, not wait until I arrive. I can't do the job I need to do without that equipment." The entire staff immediately ganged up on me and became argumentative and threatening and told me if "I didn't like it I could leave" and that because of my attitude (expressed frustration) that they would make me leave the store. They repeated this multiple times. Employee Eddie was particularly rude and threatening, very provoking both verbally and physically. EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF! I spoke on the phone with the manager who was not at the store. He did not apologize but offered to discount my rental, which he did do, however, the entire experience was HORRIBLE. I have 3 more moves coming up in January in the Indianapolis area. Guess which moving company I WILL NOT BE USING???? I wouldn't go back to this place if it was free! What a HUGE disappointment from a national agency as reputable as U haul. I assure you, I will NEVER use U Haul again for the rest of my life. I am a lifelong customer LOST because of this horrible experience at Lynhurst Uhaul on West Washington St in Indianapolis. My recommendation, Go ANYWHERE ELSE!

I was expecting the worst because of the reviews. After getting to this location, the ladies here provided excellent customer service. Everything went smoothly. I'm recommending this location only because of the staff on duty at this present time.

Owner should ensure the truck is fueled and ready to go before customer arrives to pick it up. Itâ€™s a basic service/convenience that should be afforded to a customer, and as there is a gas station barely a mile down the road, the only reason I can proffer for them having my truck on empty almost 3 hours after they were supposed to be open is laziness. I was offered/given a $40 discount for the inconvenience, but I would much prefer the truck is prepped and ready to go from the moment I pick it up. Also they enacted this â€œpolicyâ€ whereby they insisted I provide some elseâ€™s number so they could call them to vouch for me before they would let me pick up a truck. That has NEVER happened to me before since Iâ€™ve been renting trucks and I thought it was a tad unnecessary, which I mentioned to the store keeper, who was abrasive and short in his explanation that it was his personal policy to prevent his truck from being damaged or something like that. For the record, I did not notice them enforcing this policy on others when I came to return the truck. On the whole it was a rather unpleasant experience, and I will not be renting a truck from the Lynhurst location ever again. Cheers,

After hours app for drop off does not work, and customer service line was on hold for over 20 min with no answer. Then Uhaul keeps texting instructions to use app or call. Pathetic. Get your act together. Be professional.

Reserved a 15â€™. Instead of telling me they overbooked they thought they could just put me in a 10â€™ and act like I booked the wrong thing. This is why I always take screenshots of my reservations. Didnâ€™t matter. Told I had to take the 10â€™ or I could just not rent a Uhaul. Definitely not renting from this UHaul branch again.
