Location needs someone else to interact with customers. The man working the counter (Ken) is horrible and has NO customer service skills or customer appreciation. I will not be renting from ANY U-Haul location for the remainder of my life due to this location.

Communication between national/corporate and local locations needs to be GREATLY improved: I reserved and was approved a one-way 4*8 enclosed trailer (FL-TX) online Saturday night -- even took pics of my license in the early check-in section. On Sunday, Uhaul called me to switch locations since my preferred location did NOT actually have the size I wanted - no big deal since new location was just as close. I received a text confirmation in the early morning hours Monday and it still had the old location listed (hmmm). Regardless, I went to the new location on Monday. They did not have record of the reservation. Luckily, they did have the size of trailer I wanted, so she proceeded to try and put me in the system. It kept denying it, so she called U-Haul national so that they could get it transferred from other location. The personnel at this location were friendly, professional and great and finally got me on my way! However, I was delayed over an hour waiting for all of these attempts to get me in the system. Plus I spent time on Saturday night setting up my own reservation and even filled in all the information for pre check-in and then I had to go through it all again on location! On Tuesday, I arrived in Texas, unloaded and then took trailer to previously arranged location for return. Once again, very polite and friendly manager, however, he began asking me if I had been in New York or any northeastern states and when I told him "no, I came directly from Florida." He said that he had been refusing equipment from FL also (due to coronavirus), but that he would accept my trailer. I'm very appreciative and thankful to him for accepting the return, but I feel that conversation never should have had to happen. lf I was going to be refused return, then I should have been told/refused when making the reservation -- or really: 1) opportunity for refusal during online, 2) when Uhaul called me about the change in location, or 3) when making the new reservation on-site in FL. Additionally, I understand the concerns and fears of COVID-19, but it was a 4x8 enclosed trailer that I leased and it could very easily be cleaned and disinfected upon its return. I see no reason there was a chance that its return could have been declined.

Please make sure all settings are in place. The cabin light was turned on, and I drove for a while with the cabin light on at night because I didn't know how to turn it off. Cassandra was very nice, quick, and helpful!

Ken was extremely helpful in making this move go smoothly in this difficult covid-19 time. Social distancing was in effect when the truck was rented and returned.


If it weren't for the Uhauls sitting out, we may have missed it as it sits back off the road. However, we are not familiar with Irving either. this location wasn't really open due to the COVID-19 and opened it for us to get the truck. a Very nice man.
