Although I had a confirmation, an agent did not reach out to me. Almost did not get a truck as planned at that location. However, someone had turned in a key and it was available at the last minute. Agent was VERY nice. I was in and out in 10 mins even with the mix-up.

I tried to rent a van on Sunday 1/21/18. It was self pu but the online process wouldn't work so we called the 1 800 # to speak w customer service. We were told the person who returned the van didn't return it right but we could go to another store to pu but that was adding additional 35 - 40 miles at 59 cents amile. When we stated that it would defeat the purpose of trying to do this at a reasonable rate we were hung up on. Then trying to call back I was put on hold for 11 mins and then disconected, we gave up and the people that were helping us left. Monday 1/22/18 I went to the location I tried the day before to find out it was just a storage company that allows pu and drop off for U haul. So again we do the online process and we pu the van. When I go to return the online process doesn't work, it won't ck the truck back in, so again I call customer service to say it won't let me ck the truck in, I was told to drop my contract and key into lock box. So then I realized that was what happened and why I couldn't pu the truck on my original day when I had help lined up. Well when I said that to customer service she hung up on me. Is that the process of U haul 's customer service? So I called back and formed a complaint. I was told that process generally takes 3 days, so I'm waiting for that call back.

This Uhaul rental location was excellent and extremely flexible to my needs. Separately, some of these locations do not have the add-on equipment available. We wanted to rent a dolly, but since this location is only a drop-off and pickup location, it didn't have that equipment available. I hope Uhaul can change the rental process so that when people such as myself are renting, we are more aware before finalizing the rent.

Mistakenly, we delivered the truck to this location, based on the assumption that the customer sesrvice rep on the phone had used the location closest to our move, which turns out that wasn't the case. When the vehicle was returned, the representative inside the store made no mention that we had brought the truck to the incorrect place, and magically we got a bill for over $100 via email for this mistake. When approaching Uhaul about this situation, we were told to return to the store to get the key and return the truck to the correct location, and thanks to some unknown discrepancy between the phone representative and the store we returned the truck to, this became a giant, ridiculous hassle. The field manager for the Jacksonville division, Brian, was completely unwilling to assist us with this at all. So, it just cost $260 for me to use a truck to go less than 20 miles. I would like to say that I do appreciate the phone representative, Andy, for trying his best to help me resolve this situation to my satistfaction, but overall this has been a nightmare. I am still hopeful that this situation can be rectified.

The gas level was not accurate compared to the level on the rental contract. It said 5/8 on the contract, but was in fact only 1/2 filled. When I returned the truck, I filled it over what I had originally received. I was still charged a gas fee after returning the truck.

The employee was not helpful when we asked if we can look at the trucks and the size his comment was "one is bigger than the other". We ended up choosing the wrong size truck so we had to rent 2. When we went to pick up the truck they had rented it to someone else, we were sent to hunt down a truck at another location that looked like an abandoned office building. When we arrived the office was closed, we had to wait 15 minutes and the employee said he was never told we were coming for the truck. We asked if we wold receive a discount for the inconvenience and they gave us the run around each office said the other one would take care of it. No apology's no discounts None of them were professional. I will be needing to rent a truck again in September but I am not sure if I want to rent from Uhaul again. Moving is very stressful and I don't want to deal with this again. Customer service needs improvement.

I was planing on using Penske, but a friend told me that uhaul was way better and that they have a better costumer service . To begin , I only created one reservation and for some reason my account was showing 2. Second after placing the order I was call to be inform that the store I had selected was not in stock, the girl on the other side of the phone told me that they had the truck at another location, It took me almost 30 minutes to pick up that truck and I was only offer 10 extra miles. Right after this I received an email saying that my 12foot truck was ready to be pick up, 12 foot ???? I reserved a 10 foot truck, the girl over the phone had created a whole new reservation without me knowing of it. If I have to recommend someone a company to move their belongings I would not recommend I-UHAUL. WORST COSTUMER SERVICE. Hopefully someone will be able to help me .
