To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally file a serious complaint regarding the unacceptable and unsanitary condition of the U-Haul truck I rented from your location at: 10846 Mart Inc108-46 Merrick BlvdJamaica, NY 11433 On Sunday, during extremely heavy rainfall in Queens, New York, I arrived at your location with my three children to pick up a rental truck for an important move. After arriving, I was forced to wait approximately two hours due to ongoing computer and system issues at the location. The weather conditions were terrible, and my children and I were left waiting in the rain with no proper assistance or urgency shown by staff. When I finally received the truck, I was horrified by the condition it was in. The vehicle was filthy, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable for public use. Inside the truck were garbage, bottles, cans, shoes, dirty sheets, and multiple used condoms, including condom wrappers containing bodily fluids. No family — especially a mother traveling with children — should ever be placed in such unsafe and disgusting conditions. I immediately brought this to the attention of an employee at the location. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee laughed at my concerns as if the matter was amusing. I found this behavior disrespectful, humiliating, and deeply disturbing. Due to the severe weather conditions and the fact that I had already paid for transportation to the location, I had no choice but to use the truck despite the health hazards and emotional distress this situation caused me and my children. This entire experience was unacceptable, unprofessional, and inhumane. I trusted your company to provide a safe and properly cleaned vehicle, and instead my children and I were exposed to filthy and hazardous conditions.

The vehicle I reserved was NOT there and they gave me a vehicle that I could have reserved closer to my home. The attendant stated there was 1/4 tank of gas. The gas needle was on E and the gas light was on. I pulled around to the front of the location for him to see and he stated that I had to put gas in it and I would be credited when I return the vehicle. The cargo area was clean but the inside cabin was FILTHTY. The handtruck I reserved was available. The return process was smooth.
Nancy LI made a reservation and I was told that they couldn't find it only to be called the next day by uhaul to say that I never picked up my reservation. I was charged a gas fee even though I put gas back in the van luckily i took pictures before and after. The Van was dirty. The windshield was dirty inside the back of the truck was dirty. I would never rent from this location again.
SAMANTHA CTime is very important! I was at the location from 2:25pm and didn't get the truck after 4pm and to make matter worse inside the truck were dirty mad dirty! I had to have them come and sweep the truck 🚚 nope it was a very bad experience.
