Jade thrasher was the best uhaul employee I've worked with. She was thorough, nice, upbeat, and personable. We were able to check in within minutes and drop off with no hassle, will go back to this location because of Jade specifically. Store and vehicle were clean and new too

Was overcharged for mileage, sent an email to the manager and got no reply. Was not told that check in was via a text message, did get one but thought it was just a confirmation, we were busy and in a hurry and did note the scratches, had the rep come out and confirm that they were marked. We had rented from u haul before & never had a text to check in. Drove maybe 12 miles tops, very short distance move. Took 12 gallons even though the tank registered Full when we left the lot. But mileage showed 36 miles. NO way we drove more than 12. Small potatoes, but people in the store were rude about it, and acted like it was all our fault. Would have taken 5 seconds to tell us to check in via the text. I know we should have noted the mileage before we left, but just felt ripped off and staff did not seem to believe us. Also, interior of the box/back part of the truck was dirty, and had some debris from the previous renter that we threw away, but had to sweep it out when we got to our destination, had not been cleaned in advance of our rental. Cab area was fine.
Nicole had me in and out of there to pick up my van in 5 minutes. The equipment was awesome .I love driving it.there are U-Haul locations closer to me but I always come to this one because I'm treated so respectfully. Everyone is always friendly. And they take care of business really fast
One tire of trailer was so worn the cords were showing. Gal said her Manager knew and said it was OK. After we loaded the trailer, we got more concerned and called U-haul National Roadside Assistance. They sent someone out to change the tire. Very nice customer service from National U-haul. The tire repair man couldn't believe he was not called earlier. He also added air to other tire as it was low. This slowed our move down.

Better signage on Main Street to indicate the entrance on 31st street would be very helpful as it was hard to find.
I was unable to use my debit card from my employer (Amazon) this was extremely inconvenient due to the fact you REQUIRED me to rent a larger, more expensive truck than I needed :[ For this reason alone I would have given ZERO stars. Refusing capitalist credit in my personal financing is my choice & I should not be FORCED to have a credit card in order to rent your smaller, less expensive equipment!

This U-haul location was easy to find. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The truck smelled good and was clean from the front to the back.
If money is due back to you they try to credit it to your account. Instead of giving u your money back in hand. The company keeps your money even if u no longer have an account they keep your money that is dumb as fuck. Uhaul company are big rip offs. This is covid too no mercy no love. Just rude workers.
The women working at 31st and Main in KC KICK ASS. Raises. They deserve them. Bonuses, too.
What can be done to improve service for the next customer: Streamline the online reservation system with the physical location. For as long as it took to pickup upon my arrival I should have skipped online and just rented my truck from the counter. Perhaps only one customer should proceed inside on 31 & Main at night or particularly when the young lady is solo.
It was such an easy process. Staff was fantastic
I have used this location before and always have enjoyed their service. Same applied this time but all fell apart when I drove away. The engine light was on and the outside window was filthy. I did not have time to go back as movers were waiting for me to pack the truck. I tried calling the GM who waited on me and it was like Fort Knox. I did email customer service and heard back 24 hours later that if I had problems on the road to contact their road side people. This truck was almost 100000 mikes and clearly had not been looked at prior to me taking. When returning in Chicago it was prompt and courteous but rep wore his mask around his neck instead of over his face
