They were understaffed for a Saturday. Everyone had reservations so you would think it would be easy to schedule more people on busier days. I waited for at least45 minutes to pick up and another 45 to drop it back off. Poorly managed.

There were only 2 check out registers running. There was no self check out (it was being used as a regular check out). I have an account and was ready for self check out. But still had to wait almost an hour. I wasn't the only one. The staff seemed inexperienced. Not sure or confident in what they were doing. The truck had damage that wasn't documented anywhere. I noticed one dent during self check out. But then noticed two more later during the day. I was worried I'd be blamed for that. Also the truck only had 5700 miles. But there was sticky stuff all over the center console and the cab was very dirty.

Yeah on the evening of the 15th, I had called ahead as I was coming up to rent the U-Haul and spoke with a gentleman at the store this review is about and he asked if i was going to be about 5 minutes late and I was and it's because I was given the wrong address and I ended up at the storage unit building and they told me I had to go over to the 11827 store and I call the head again to let somebody know that I was on my way I was given the wrong address and the lady I spoke to on the phone said she would pass my message on to the gentleman at the store for me so he knew I was going to be a little late. I got there and there was no where to park, and when I finally was able to talk to somebody the gentleman was walking out the front door, turned around immediately and completely blew me off at first and I happen to mention as he's pulling the keys up that I was here to rent the truck I called ahead about and that they knew I was going to be late and I got there at 7 on the dot the gentleman, then proceeded to not even look me in the eye and say the door shut at 7 the doors lock at 7 sorry I can't help you and just walked off he didn't look at me nothing acknowledge me he was very rude to me and the fact that a customer that he was giving his final receipt to happen to hear this gentleman do that and watch him walk away from me and ignore me as I was trying to say that somebody knew I was going to be late here that they said it was okay and he just completely ignored me and I had to go to a different area and then ended up getting an online reservation set up so I could pick one up right then and there, he was some young man in the age range of anywhere between 19 and 22 and he didn't offer me no help, no suggestions, or anything to help me get to a truck as fast as possible, I went next door to the gas station to fill up and happened to look up and there he was just watching me fill up my tank and then he turned away and went to his truck or car, never got his name never even got to see his name tag nothing but he was very rude to me and I was embarrassed by how he treated me, he didn't treat me like a customer, he treated me like somebody was bothering him and that it wasn't his job to help me or at least give me a suggestion of what I could do. Again I was very embarrassed to have him do that to me in front of other customers as they were leaving with their final receipt after they had just dropped off a truck.

Did a pre check in on line, but had to redo everything when I got there. Choose a location in Lee's Summit, but the day before was notified that I would have to change p/u location to Grandview--20 miles out of my way. Waited in line for an hour. Improve wait times.

When I set the reservation over the phone, the person told me to pick it up at one place and I had to driver to a different location because he sent to to the wrong one. No one apologized for his mistake and it was like they didnt care, didn't over a discount to make it up. So i know not to use your company ever again. I will go somewhere else. Took to long to chrck back in lot was full of trucks dont know where all the employees were, and yeah never again.

It was raining the day of our move and the truck leaked all over our belongings. When we discussed this with the personnel at this location, they did not have any care or compassion for the expense we are now out of in dry cleaning down comforters and cleaning upholstery on our couches.

The cab of the UHaul had not been clean from the previous renter leaving liquid spills on the seats and the ash tray was full of cigarette butts and ash. In addition, the previous renter returned the UHaul with the fuel guage on empty and provided a minor discount that was measly in comparison to fill the entire tank. Aside from the conditions of the truck, the front desk employees were very knowledgeable and helpful with the reservation process.

Actually, when I arrived at the location in Kansas City, MO, at Truman location, two employees at different times walked past my Dad and I without saying a word, walked outside and about 5 minutes later came back in and finally spoke to us. They were rude. After paying $1,400.00 for a one way rental to Columbia, SC, I get in the truck and jump on the highway only to have to take the next exit and go to a gas station to wash all of the dead bug splatter and grime of the windshield so I could see out of it. The truck was covered in dead bugs and grime. I took photos of how disgusting the truck was. They didn't even clean off the windshield before renting it to me. I've never rented a Uhaul truck that was disgusting and dirty until now. I called customer service and spoke with someone and asked if I should send the photos I took and he said no and asked is there anything else I needed. Apparently he did not care that I spent $1,400.00 only to have to clean mirrors and the windshield so I could see out of it. I have used Uhaul trucks numerous times and have a storage unit at a Uhaul location in Columbia SC, and I have always gotten good service until now. I was extremely disappointed with the "service" I got from this location.
