When I arrived two pickup my rental the truck that was assigned to me did not start, battery was dead. I was asked to contact road side, waisted more than a couple of hours at the pickup location calling different Dept in uhaul customer services and roadside. the owner at the pickup location was of no help. horrible horrible uhaul experience, never heard of.

Upon picking up cargo van, employees couldn’t find the keys for my rental...the worst part of my rental experience was returning the cargo van, they added a mile to my end of rental miles used I had to call customer services and the location’s manager, they gave me the run around...I absolutely,” DO NOT “ recommend this location what so ever!!

Firstly the car was stinking so bad that I couldn’t switch on the AC. I was running on a clock so didn’t have the time to switch locations and find another van. There was only one van at this location. After managing my trip somehow, I called the manager to complain about it. Instead of apologising to me, he asked me why I didn’t check before taking it out. Like it’s my fault that I took it. Pathetic experience, pathetic manager, pathetic van.

The car was absolutely unserviceable. I asked if the vehicle was checked and they said yes they always check it. The vehicle smelled of fish. It was unmistakable. I figured I just wanted to get the job done so I roughed it out. It was a horrible experience. All my belongings wreak of fish. Hopefully they’ll air out by tomorrow. When I expressed my experience to the attendant they laughed and she said her coworker had mentioned that to her. She was completely unsympathetic to my situation. To make matters worse the guy forced me to buy gas. I only drove the vehicle six miles but he said I needed to purchase a dollars worth of gas. This was absolutely the worst experience I’ve had renting a vehicle. I had to pay 50 something dollars to ruin my moving experience. I would like a refund if possible.

The lady that rented me the truck was nice enough but charged me for insurance I did not ask for. They also charged me to park my car while I used the truck for 3 hours. Also the truck windshield was filthy inside and out. The truck had something rollin aground in the dash around every corner as well. It worked to get what i needed moved but I wouldn't go back to get another on from that location.

I rented a 9ft van and it smelled liked dirty hay. It also wasn't swept out after the last person returned it. The girl behind the counter who helped me was not friendly at all, it seemed like she didn't want to help.

Attendant Wouldn’t check the gas or mileage to confirm how I left the truck. Also when I called the day prior to ask how the drop off worked and how much I would be charged I was told they couldn’t help me. Very dissatisfied.

The young female sales associate that was working was an absolute nightmare to work with. She was rude, disrespectful, dismissive and possible racist as she had no Reason to treat my husband and I the way she did. I truly can’t wrap my head around her attitude. She rudely kicked us out of the store as I was trying to get my phone app to work to rent the truck, was hesitant to check us in as walk-ins due to the malfunctioning of my phone- until she called managers while requesting we wait outside in the rain; she charged my card for 50 miles without asking me how long my trip was going to be, and without telling me how much she was charging my card in general... she was one of the most disgusting customer service representatives I have ever come across. Her mistreatment was so offensive, I am considering boycotting Exxon’s as well as they remind me of her. I am a loyal U-Haul renter for my business (2-3x/month) but I will never go back here. Her employment in a customer service job should be reconsidered.

First of all I was overcharged at this location upon return and then I call to have it rectified, I don't get an apology and I am told to call their 800 number!!! Your company is getting worst every year. What a shame and I was going to reserve another Uhaul for a long distance move out west. This whole experience has been horrible. I will not waste my breath again to retell the long list that went wrong with this reservation. I will make sure to share my experience of disappointment and my experience with social media, my friends and family after if I ever get a response from you. Thank you for the worst experience.

I've used U-haul trucks/equipment for years and this is the first time I haven't received a receipt for my use of a cargo van. The clerk at the gas station (Exxon/van pickup point) said my receipt would be emailed to me. It's been two days and no receipt. My only concern will be how much they may try to charge to my credit card. This is my first and last time I'll ever use a U-haul associate. The official U-haul center I will continue to use.

I was looking to rent a U-Haul and I googled this place in kearny. Called and spoke to A gentleman who gave his name as of the location manager Ozzie, I mentioned to him these two recent reviews on their website by the customers name Jennifer Cruz and Pedro Silva Who are putting giving/wrong false hate full reveiew for this very hardworking honest crew at this location and their employees according to the manager they’re trying to cheat the system did not put fuel Upon their equipment return and think If they only drive 10 to 20 miles and the fuel gauge barely moves They can get away with it but not realizing their dishonesty of not returning the Equipment back with full fuel in it Cause the next customer to pay for their cheating. Whoever read their review please read my review and try not to cheat the system to hurt the business for these hard-working people very friendly and honest service they provide. Like it’s been said there is always the other side of the story.I hope my reveiew will help Other customers to be better educated about the rental procedure and the return policy with a full fuel or the the same fuel returning and not to heart the reputation of a good Very convenient business/facility in our community. This is by far the worst Uhaul experience. They are very deceptive and refuse to provide receipts. They will print a rental with a full tank of gas even though in my case the gas was off and they refused to correct it then fraudulently charged my credit card. Luckily I snapped before and after photos of the mileage and gas. Do yourself a favor and do not rent a truck from this location.
