The cashier was not friendly at all. He did not take the time to explain to me why i was still being charged extra after paying for my reservation online.

Uhaul's system is archaic. You can reserve a trailer over the phone and the rep takes all your credit card information, and then in branch they need your card again. Yet I cannot tap my card or use Google pay. During a pandemic I still need to insert my card and use a keypad and pens to sign. Documents to be signed on paper, no electronic signature. Implement DocuSign or something similar and send them in advance so I don't have to step in and deal with your crabby service manager who works in customer service but does a pathetic job at it. If you don't like customer facing jobs then work elsewhere. Uhaul's return system is useless to and doesn't even work half the times. Then you get charged a late return fee. It's unfortunate uhaul does not have a big enough competitor, or else I wouldn't even bother dealing with uhaul anymore.
This location have trucks with kilometres and mills and in not normal that when the cleark give you Contract with mills and truck show you km. And start to explain to rate 1mi= 1.5 or 1.6 km. Suppose indicate one things, clear, not to give place an interpretation.

My first time renting at U-Haul and I gotta say that it was a lot easier than I imagined it would be! Especially that originally, I was scheduled to pick-up the van at Garage Auto Ryder but was quickly referred instead to the U-Haul on Normand street by a wonderful young lady called Ashley Deer-Mac Mullin. I would like to thank this person from the bottom of my heart for her amazing support after my very bad experience at Auto Ryder. There's good people out there and it outweighs by far those rotten ones still lingering about!! The only comment that I have is since I'm new at this (and I will come back again & again) is that the gas fill up proved a little difficult for me. I asked the clerk at the counter about EZ fuel pay and he didn't know much about that. I put gas myself and put more in than necessary but I'm so satisfied with U-haul...so I don't mind one bit!!! cheers..and thanks....Ashley Deer-Mac Mullins!!! (I hope I have the right person!) Online check-in didn't work and the line was long.
I would recommend this uhaul location with one qualification: be prepared to wait to register and pick up your rental. Saturday August 1, 2020 it took me 65-70 minutes to wait in line to complete my online reservation, insurance etc etc. I understand it was a Saturday and the 1st of the month; does uHaul understand?........only two sales desks open. Many frustrated customers.
Long lines and it took a long time getting served even if pre registered online; location added 20 kilometres to the distance reported
Express check-ins was hardly express; Gas gauge was at 3/4 not 7/8 - how can whoever inspected it make a mistake like that?; The storage unit previously rented by my friend was found locked by U-Haul for an unpaid balance however this was not the case, as it was paid and the clerk admitted it should have been removed; Picked up the truck at noon August 1, returned the truck at 18h40 on August 1. I had the truck until August 2 at noon but the move finished early, so I brought it back before closing. I was told to leave it behind the two trucks already parked in the "return for inspection" line, to keep the keys inside, and leave the window half opened. I got a bill today (Aug 2) saying the truck was returned at 9h30, on August 2, and was billed 23$ for after hours service. How is this after hour service? The clerk told me to leave it there and when I asked him for the fourth time "is there anything that I need to do? Just sweep and leave the keys in the truck with the window open and leave?" he said yes. I had to waste 45 minutes of my day contacting uhaul customer service to file a report/complaint/reversal for something that should never have occurred in the first place. While the competition is more costly, I've never had any issues with them and every time I think uhaul might do good, I'm reminded why I've avoided them in the past.
More than one hour waiting in an long line to pick up the truck. I had the appointment at 10am and I arrived at 9:30am. I got the truck at 11:20. Even if I got the truck an hour 20 minutes later still I had to return it at 4pm.
I know it's a really novel idea, but when a customer reserves a truck in advance, it'd be amazing if you could like, you know, provide them with a truck. I might be weird, but when I order something at a restaurant, I actually expect to get food to go with the bill.
I had a reservation yet still waited an hour in line. I understand they are probably missing employees however the wait time was absolutely ridiculous.
Ask your employee to mention the extra fÃ©es. Was not mention and i was pretty not happy camper for the extra.. They only mention thÃ© 20$ and amount per kilomÃ¨tre. But to arrivÃ© to 122$. There at lease 60$ not mention
More staffing during peak hours in order to reduce customer wait time. Better inventory and accessories* of items relevent to towing* / moving

Location on Bouivard MONTREAL-TORONTO was not open at 7 am as posted. There was no sign on the door alerting customers that the location was closed. I waited until 7:30 am and nobody came so I went to another U-Haul on Norman Blvd where They were very helpful.
I had to interact with 2 people during my visit. One girl (forgot the name, sorry) and 1 boy (Jay). The girl was incredibly effective, super professional and her mood was awesome. When I got to the front desk, the guy was was very moody, I was asking questions and he was rude with his answers. My boyfriend was there too cause he had to provide IDs, and he is anglophone. Jay started to say something to him, while paying, and it was very fast so my boyfriend couldn't understand. He said that he didn't understand and instead of trying to repeat, he just simply decided to talk to me in french, while I wasn't even the one being served. He was in a bad mood for some reasons, to the point where my 7 y.o. daughter said 'well, he really doesn't like his job mom'.
I received an email with my confirmation information and reservation number. The vehicle was not available but one employee ( guy who has been there a long time) saved the day when the other employee couldn't figure anything out for herself. This is my second visit in 2 weeks and I hope she is a new employee who is still learning the ropes. At the moment she is completely useless and cannot focus on a task at hand. I finally had to go to another location, late, to get a vehicle the good employee got the sense to try and get for me. He reserved it and gave me directions to the other uhaul dealer. Everything went smoothly at the pick up location.

The general manager was a rude guy and his employe was rude also. The general manager is not professional during conversation with customers. He thinks everybody is stupid around him. I'm an engineer and I just don't know why they talk to people like that.
Have more employees present.
