The lady there at that lacation was very rude for no reason to me at all...maybe because i was black!

The truck and the gentleman that helped me were both great, however, there is a woman that works there and she is extremely rude. If I needed to rent another truck and she was the only one there to help me I would definitely take the time to drive to a different location for help instead of even talking to her.

I went in and spoke face to face with the manager about my weekend truck rental in two days. Management assured me that I was taken care of and that my getting the 15 ft truck at 7 am BEFORE they opened at 9 am was no problem due to the UHaul app. My wife agreed to drop me off at the Uhaul location, it was 42 degrees outside. I stayed in the car with my wife and begin opening the UHaul app with my reservation number. I told my wife she could leave and meet the movers as planned at 7:30 am. The Uhaul app went through the procedure of taking and verifying my information and then begin looping back to the first page! I went through this no less than 12-15 times... I called the 800 customer service number (after calling the uhal location where I was only to get voicemail) and the 800 number robot told me there was at least a 10 minute wait due to high call volume. I am freezing cold. Finally a nice lady answers and reading the script tries to walk me though what I have already done 12-15 times! She apologizes and assures me that she will connect me directly to "tech support" I thank her and continue waiting for another 10 or so minutes! Tech support lady listens to me and then tells me that "they are having an issue with the system and that there is nothing she can do about letting me into the truck." In the freezing cold I keep my calm and she guarantees me the same truck if I go to another location with a famous UHaul $50 guaranteed reservation. OK fine, by now the movers have sat around for 30 minutes. I call my sister and she takes me to where the UHaul tech lady told us where to go. We get there and the gentleman at the desk says, "They should NOT have told you that because we have 33 reservations backed up with absolutely no trucks available!" My sister almost lost it, and I would not let her...(I am a Reverend). My sister drives us back to my home and the movers are just sitting and waiting $$$. I take my car and a mover person to the original UHaul location and wait on them to open at 9 am. I explain ALL OF THIS to the manager and his response is that "he is sorry that this happened, he does not know why UHal does this to clients, he can do nothing but take my credit card and the movers license, stammers out his frustration and denies me a $50 UHaul guarantee because the truck was there and it was a computer system fault not his store!" Now do you guys really think this is right by UHaul? Do you really think I want to use them ever again? Let's see how they respond. Contract number 86796342

Traveling to Galveston Tx for a cruise trip. Made all arrangements to get cargo trailer on 11/15 -11/17. Also for pick up 11/20-11/21; my father in law got here with no cargo. All 12 of us had no room for luggage. Borrowed a flatbed from a friend. My dad is 72 and there should have been a grace period for week day pickup- I'm very upset. This company large enough to be able to accommodate when elderly arrive 5:58pm circumstances happen. This was horrible- shame on whomever turned him away.

Thank you for the review reminder! Once I got settled I was going to sit down and figure out who I needed to talk to pertaining to my uhaul return. First of all the staff was fine but my return was very scary and unsafe! It's been a very long time since I've used uhaul but the return was not what I remembered. The drop off area for after hours was very dark and isolated and I couldn't just lock the truck and let the staff check it the next day. I had to use the link provided to check out the uhaul. It was after hours so it was already scary due to having to walk down an isolated and cringy street away from the location entrance. I had to take pictures on the phone, upload them of the inside and rear of the uhaul which took more time than I wanted to spend out there. I was alone and yes depending on your situation some customers may have to be alone when they do a return. In saying all of this, I love uhaul but I think the drop off after hours should be looked at a little closer at each location for safety reasons. At this particular location, you should not have to place the uhaul back in the same area where you picked up from during the day. There was more than enough room for several trucks at the office area for returns. Please contact me if you need more details. Thank you.

Communication was horrible! I personally have experienced one of the worst moments in ones live. I lost my son on 8/7/2019. Called Uhaul to schedule reservations. The initial process was great, after that everything went downhill. My reservation was completely changed and only was notified by via text. The location which it had changed to was CLOSED. So, imagine getting 4 kids out of bed on a Saturday morning to arrive to a place NOT open for business. Called your office and the youngamn was very helpful - he found another location after 30mims. Wen there to find out NO cash was accepted and a deposit was required. OMG!! Spent more time there, trying to figure things out...method of payment...deposit. Once completed- you guys texted - YET AGAIN a change. Having me to return truck to a location out my way and changed from original place I advised to return truck. The original place a block away from my storage. Get there to be told and that we need to go to another location. This was overwhelming and one the horrible I've ever experienced with UHAUL!
