I believe the previous renters only pretended to fill the gas tank. I added 4 gallons and drove only 6 miles. I don’t think the MPG is that bad. This is a customer issue, not a U-Haul issue.

NICK ZThe pick up location was not clean and did not feel safe. It was parked in a back alley and there was not space between vehicles so I had to walk around all of them to get to the back and it was a tight fit. The space behind the vehicle was being occupied by homeless people and was littered with trash and smelled of urine. The equipment was definitely clean, but the location was not. It honestly did not feel safe either, because there was no way to get out in between vehicles, and knowing that a homeless person was living there, if I had been confronted by them I would have been trapped back there. Also, the space was very small to pull out of. I had to do a lot of back and forth in order to get the vehicle out of the parking lot, which was not made easy by how many vehicles were parked there either.
