The staff does a superior job but they are working with a less than satisfactory system. Every time we have reserved a truck to rent, there have been delays and issues using the computer program. I must commend and compliment the staff as they make every effort to provide excellent customer service while dealing with issues in the system.

It took a very long time to get waited on the phone rang constantly but the staff was great and handled the customers with grace.

Are used the app to rent a pick up truck did not work well at all. Very clunky. The main problem was when I dropped off the truck it would not allow me to take a picture with my phone. Outside of the app it worked but I could not do it within the app. Luckily there was a very nice young lady outside who is cleaning out the return trucks who went ahead and checked in my return for me on the phone because the store was closed. I recommend Tweaking your application a bit to be more user-friendly.
Understaffed and staff seemed to not know how to use the reservation system. Commenting that the system was â€œtelling me it's going to cost...â€ which was clearly wrong and she knew it. Had to do it all over. Then the gas tank level was not correct with the actual. But the biggest problem was the time. From the moment I walked into the store it took more than 55 minutes to get to the pint of walking out to the van. Ther were only two customers ahead of me. They were complaining of the wait as well. There were other customers waiting behind me. One finally just left. I have many times rented a truck from Home Depot and it takes about five minutes. They didn't have one the day I wanted a truck so I had to go to Uhaul. I will only ever go there again if it is a last resort. This Lebanon location needs attention.

Online check in absolutely terrible. No one at location to help. Guy at the location said the online system was terrible and would probably take forever. It did.
We reserved the truck for 7:30 am. Spoke to two people confirming the time. No truck until 9 am. They said they left a messsage on my phone. No message. It all worked out but that bit was disappointing.
I scheduled to have a truck to pick up at 7:30am on Friday. I get a text the night before saying that the truck won't be available until 9:00am. I call Friday morning around 8:00am asking if the truck will be available and the staff did not know where the truck was. The staff put me on hold, but I could still hear them calling the previous renter of the truck in the background. They questioned that customer as to when they will be bringing the truck back and the customer replied "I brought the truck back on Wednesday and dropped the key off with an employee." The staff failed to get the truck checked in for 2+ days and delayed my move by several hours. They seemed disorganized and were not quite sure what they were doing. When I finally got the truck, it smelled like an ash tray. It was gross to then have to drive in. No employee was wearing a mask, nor was physical distancing enforced. For a company like Uhaul, I expected more. I will not be renting again.
Let people know that even if you use mobile checkin you still have to go get the keys.
Very convenient spot in NH being close to I-89. Selection of equipment is expansive. Personnel were helpful.
Staff was pleasant, helpful, and well-intentioned, but process was extremely slow due to low staffing level.
VERY hard to call the actual location. Usually get directly forwarded to the national number, even during business hours. Lot is crowded and difficult to park a returning truck.
Burlington office told my son that they needed the truck in Lebanon instead of Etna but without detail on where and that he would get a discount. I had to be on hold for 20 min to get a hold of the Burlington office to find out which Lebanon drop off? Finally they rerouted the drop and said that Lebanon would give us a credit for getting it there the same day by 7pm. Michael Lahaye was amendment that he would not be giving us a discount, that had to be on Burlington. Then once the truck was processed his colleague mentioned notes in the system that they should indeed give us a $20.00 credit. Again, not helpful or willing it was put on the customer instead of the customer coming first. We spent $98.85 for a day, that should require customer service on both ends. Again very time consuming to deal with both sides and the staff. Very disapointed
790-64 is horribly under staffed most always. The team does their best but are certainly over worked.
improve customer service - reserved online for 10 am, got in at 10 am - didn't get out until 11:20 am (I was second in line with 3 more sets of customers behind me - God knows when they got out) - got a phone message later that day: "Your contract wasn't completed - technically you've stolen the trailer - you must come back to complete the contract" - came back - different person at the register: "Looks like your contract is fine - tell you what, you can bring it back tomorrow by 4 pm for the same one-day price" - got in next day before 4 pm - initial price I was told I owed was twice the daily price - did eventually get the one day price after argument WHAT A PAIN-IN-THE-BUTT EXPERIENCE - JEEZ - NOT COMING BACK HERE, FOR SURE
The only issue I had was when I went in 6 days earlier to reserve the truck and the employees we dealt with had very bad attitudes almost as if it was an inconvenience to do this.
The wait was really long both for pickup and drop off. The app would not work. I stood in line so long from 8:50 -9:30 trying to drop it off that I was charged for an extra day's rental because It was after 9:15. I am still trying to get it straightened out and get refunded the extra charges.
I was completely ripped off. I rented a cargo van last week and moved things from Grantham NH to Plainfield VT and then repeated the same exact trip, except they insisted on charging me 59.00 more. They said I did double the mileage, when I repeated the same exact trip. No amount of logic was listened to by the closed-minded manager, and I have to rent another van and have one over to Penske. Will never rent from UHaul again. Was robbed and then had to put money on a promissory note as he would not budge, and will never rent from you again, ever.

They seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. Despite pre-paying and setting everything up for my trailer rental, including uploading my drivers license & car info, it took quite a long time to get processed at the desk. There was only one person handling the desk and he spent a fair amount of time discussing operational issues at the store with another employee while a number of us waited in line. We could all hear the discussion which was not confidence building and lengthened the time we all had to wait. This was supposed to be a smooth & fast process. It was far from it as we waited in line for quite some time. I should not have to go into the office and wait in line for a pre-paid/pre-registered rental. As with returning a rental, a separate employee with a remote device should handle the process to get you on the road ASAP. That's how it works for returns & is great!
The main concern was with the location being to crowded to maneuver around The people were very busy but nice. Polite an helpful.
Incredibly understaffed location, but the kind woman who did take care of my reservation was doing the job of two people at once and gave great service despite having so much to do.
Let us pick up and return to the locations we requested. Very poor experience overall. If you are going to offer one way rentals, tell customers when they book where the pick up and dropoff will really be done. Our pickup and dropoff locations were both changed to very inconvenient locations much further away then where we originally booked. I would NEVER do a one way rental with UHaul. Terrible experience. NEVER AGAIN! Clean up your act
