Thank you for the great customer service. The rep--Jacob--was courteous, patient, thorough and fair with the 5 customers waiting their turn. I was the last to be served--but certainly not the last of his energy and politeness. Great job! And I should add--the Dunkin Donuts were really good too. The location is easy to find and several customers in line before me had mentioned that they tried other locations and was happy when they found the Rockland one open and with available trucks. 2 thumbs WAY UP!!!!

Had booked the truck for 12 hours. When we went to pick up the guy put the truck for only 4 hrs. We didn’t notice until he called around 4 saying we needed to return the truck at 5pm because he had it booked for someone else. Which didn’t work for us. He should’ve told us from the beginning and we would’ve rented from another location.

The one comment I have every time I rent a Uhaul truck is that the vehicles stink from cigarette smoke and the windshield is filthy.

Clean trailers and flexible pricing. You charged me for 6 days when 3 days was all that was necessary. It would have been cheaper to buy my own trailer to take my kids to college and back. I won’t be using u-Hal again without adjusted cost!

I wasn't told when making the reservation at another location in Libertyville that the entire reservation process and contract ran thru the cell phone number provided at the time my husband made the reservation. When my daughter and I arrived to pick up the van, I didn't have my cell phone with me and I certainly didn't have my husband's cell phone. The owner said he called my husband's cell phone an hour prior to our pick up time and left a message about us needing to bring the cell phone. At the time he called my husband he was at his hospital outpatient center receiving an infusion to treat his cancer. The center has poor reception. The owner said - no problem, I can send this contract to your e-mail, then you can sign it. I told him I had no access to my e-mail while standing in the U-Haul office. He told me he could bring it up on his mobile phone, then I could just sign in to my e-mail account. Of course, I could not remember my password. By this time my daughter had left for her work and I thought I would be stranded at this center with no U-Haul van to drive. I was near tears. This. has been an extremely stressful time in our lives. I asked him if there wasn't some way to rent this van that didn't involve mobile phones and e-mail accounts. I had just rented a van in June from another location and had none of these problems. He admitted he could do it another way, it would just take time. I was ultimately able to rent the van. I told him I think customers should be told at the time they make their reservation about the requirements for the mobile phone the reservation listed needs to accompany the customer to the U-Haul office. He again told me he called just an hour prior to our appointment - but that was useless as it was my husband's number and not mine. Thanks for listening. Pamela Fennewald

It wasn't the location as much as the process. Using your mobile app to pick up my truck was tedious and time consuming. Way too many steps. How about taking advantage of the human being who was at the location than having my send pictures of myself, documents and the truck. Also I had a real problem with the need to have you phone a friend to confirm my identity. I will use a vendor with people to provide service in the future.

Jakob was the person who helped us with the rental and he was fantastic! This location is new and super convenient. U-Haul corporately, however, needs MAJOR improvements. Jakob searched all U-Haul locations to try to find us the furniture dollies that corporate allegedly reserved for us. FYI booking thru corporate is the only way to book unless you do it in person or somehow get the actual number of the location (all calls, regardless of what you dial get rerouted to a call center). But somehow U-Haul corporate has not furnished any of the locations with dollies even though they say they have them. Jakob called countless locations to find ones for us and he apologized for not being able to get them, which was not his fault at all. (BTW, I had to buy some for $19.95 at Home Depot as a last resort and I highly recommend that for sanity purposes). Jakob was so helpful and courteous and made our stressful situation so much better. When I need to rent a truck again, I will drive over to this location and book it in person. The best.

When a customer makes a reservation at a certain Uhaul location and it gets confirmed don't bump it to a location 20 miles away adding to the mileage and cost of the customer. It cost me about $40 more in gas and mileage when you bumped my reservation. Not to mention the extra time it took just to pick up the truck and return it.
